Seriously, I think both you and Andy have good reason to be unhappy and it is unfair that you have to pay a premium rate to sort their mistakes.
For the majority the ball is in the other court and it's down to not doing as was requested.

got my passport back with visa attached, a "big thank you"for all your help, as said in my previous note's I do not like my passport in the post at anytime, as you yourself put it passports are valuable documents and for anything to happen to them it can then become a nightmare.

Thats exactly what happened to me 3 years ago, and believe me it was a nightmare because I was going on holiday within 1 week of the passport being lost/stolen.

I hope I never have to send a passport by Royal Mail ever again.

I would just like to add something to this , I actually took our applications down to Birmingham on Tuesday lunchtime after triple checking everything was in order .I made an appointment online on Monday evening for Noon on Tuesday , I arrived at 11,55 and was called in on the dot of noon. However I am glad I did take the time to go because when I handed over the visa applications , they asked me for payment , I pointed out that I had paid online and had printed off the receipt for the payment ,which I had with me , but it wasn't showing on their system . Luckily the chap that was dealing with me went off and after what was a very long 20 mins , came back after having to search through the records and had found the payment . I was really panicking for a while because I hadn't taken any cards with me and was scrambling around to make sure that I had enough cash to cover the fees just in case they hadn't found it .
Re the signatures matching , thats a difficult one because on the new passports the signatures are actually shrunk down , so with the best will in the world they are never going to match perfectly.
I just wonder if they will return them because my photos dont match or do they allow for us ladies to change hair colour etc ?
I'm tracking mine every evening but until they are back safely in my sweaty little palms I won't rest .

Well , I am flabbergasted and over the moon , just after posting the last message my nice little Royal Mail man arrived with a lovely little present , OUR VISAS. despite everything I wrote previously , I can only give praise where praise is due .Thats applications taken down Tues at noon and back here Friday at 10 30am . Is that some sort of record ?

thats ace and yes i think thats the quickest yet.no1 in the league at the moment unless someone knows better.

Yes , I'm relieved . I tried the VPS tracker earlier on this morning and its still showing as the passports being at the IHC
Text OH in work and his response .. OK . Maybe if he'd done the running around and form filling he might have been a little bit more enthusiastic

Just the malaria /jabs stuff to sort now . oh and the transfer and the packing ..........

It certainly seems like they are getting their act together, 3 nights away from home. After 2 weeks my nerves were in tatters and for others much worse.
I think we should send VFS a well done, or at least you are getting better. Job for you Fiona

THANKYOU for the advice on visa, i can now stop panicking cos they came this morning even though my hubby put the wrong year of birth on mine , cheeky bu??er aged me by 7 years, but all is well they must not have noticed the mistake,

been 10 days since i sent the families visas off. Nothing back yet apart from a phone call. At least i know they got them !

Had confirmation that ours are processed and will be posted from Birmingham on Monday,we only sent them this Monday (20th) we did our application on line on Friday 17th...only a 110 days to our then its 3 weeks of

My passport just came home. Took 15 days in total.

hurrah I have my visa!!!!
