They have fridges but no kettles, we have been often and take our own (kettle not fridge). If you enjoy nice coffee take your own.
The fridges are stocked with pop, beer and water and charged as you use them at good prices.

Thanks for that. Is there anything else you can tell me?? I'm not even sure where in Calungute it is as I've stayed either in or nearer baga before.
Any info gratefully received as I'm now counting down the days

Hi, i stayed here a couple of years ago with my son. It is nearly facing the Ticlo resort on Baga road.
If you are coming from Candolim, go straight on until you reach a mini roundabout, turn left, then on this road there is the 'chippy', log cabin pub on your right. Go past that until you get to the second roundabout, then instead of going straight on towards Calangute beac steps, take a right, and it is a 2min walk up the road.
Its only a 5-10min walk to the beach, nice pool, the food there is ok, but we only had light snacks as we ate out most of the time.
Its in a great location, close to a bus stop to get you to candolim or baga beach.
Nice staff.
I'd definetly stay here again if the price was right.

Try to pre book a pool view room as the others are noisy. It is in a good location and its basic but clean.

                Thanks for the replies

Unfortunately I've got an 'inland' room, I guess thats because I'm on my own and paid no single supplement so can't have it all ways. Got my tickets today so now VERY happy

It will be our fourth time to Park Avenue in January. There are no kettles in the room , but there is alway a fully stocked Fridge containing 6 bottles each of water, pop and kingfisher. The room boys restock the fridge and you pay them and get a receipt. Last year the prices were the same as the bar which is very reasonable anyway. Fridge also useful for keeping your aftersun in. Every day at breakfast just after 7.00am they bring a Water urn out and you can help yourself (as much as you want) to tea and coffee all through out breakfast until about 10.30am. You can then get tea and coffee from the bar/restaurant until about 11pm. The rest of breakfast is fruit juice, toast and jam. Continental breakfast is normally the norm in Goan hotels, and you just pay for anything extra you want. Poached egg on toast is recommended.
One time at breakfast around 9.30am they were a bit busy and it was taking a long time waiting for the water to be refilled so myself , OH and two other groups decided to start on the Kings instead. No that was one hell of a day!
Food is good and have eaten there lots of times. A tandoori oven is lit each evening and their Garlic Naans are yummy. So is the tandoori pomfret and kingfish.
Might eventually get round to writing a full review of the hotel one day.
