Parkroyal has turned out to be a good choice so far. We managed to get good discount through Kuoni (10%) so were able to go for an orchid club room, which comes with breakfast snacks and drinks free all day and free alcoholic drinks between 5 and 7 PM all served in the club lounge. Also 25% off the bill in any of the hotel restaurants. There is also a separate lift so you don't hve to wait for the Parkroyals famously slow lifts.
I will add a review when I get back but so far the service has ben excellent as has the shopping (the hotels location is dangerous to your wallet 5 shopping malls within a 10 minute walk (including one of the cheapest just across the road).

As per my last comment the Parkroyal was excellent (especially after I fell sick and spent my last week of my holiday in hospital) the orchid club staff did so much to help the rest of the party have a smooth holiday. Whilst the rest of the hotel is a basic 4 star the club rooms are 5 star all the way (just make sure you get a front or rear facing room as the side facing rooms are slightly smaller).
