Postman woke me before dawn on Thursday but I didn't complain because he delivered a case of Mythos. It may not taste quite as good as when I am sitting in a bar by Symi harbour, watching the boats but it should cheer up the winter blues. How long will 24 bottles last? Christmas? Er, possibly not.

Love the stuff - as you say pity the postman couldn't deliver the sun & sand as well. Can I ask where you had it from?

I bought it from Adnams in Suffolk. The old favourite Beers of Europe had run out of stock.

Does anyone know where I can get Metaxa at a reasonable price please? I think I've seen in in either Tesco or Asda but it was really expensive compared to other brandies.

its not cheap in the uk you can get metaxa 7 star or the rare
metaxa 12 star i dont know if true but was told 3 star was discontinued, but you can still get metaxa 5 star

Lidl stock a Greek spirit similar to metaxa 5 [but not quite as good]

I'm lucky my local garage sells bottles of it

But you're right doesn't taste the same at home.
