The toilet at row12/13 is far enough away not to be an issue in the slightest

Thomson removing 5 rows of seats?

When we flew with Thomson last October it was announced that they would be removing 5 rows of seats to make more leg room.
Does anyone know if this has been done or was it only certain planes they would be doing this.
The flights have certainly rocketed in price so they are not losing our financially.

They've taken them out of the 757 not five rows though. Most of the extra legroom seats are in the forward cabin, there is slightly more in the middle cabin half an inch maybe, and row 13def has lots of legroom.

Thanks for replies.
I only fly short haul these days, mainly on 757-200 and it was on this type of plane that they announced they were removing the rows.
I cant sit in an exit row because of a medical condition and have never had a problem with Thomson before as most of their flights I have used these last few years all seem to have the slimmer seats which give an extra inch of leg room.I am only 5ft 10ins so dont know how anyone over 6ft cope. :que

I just hate it when someone reclines their seat onto my painful knees. :rofl

It's untrue that 5 rows are being removed from the Boeing 757-200, its 2 rows (12 seats). This will provide more extra legroom seats (sold as such) in the forward cabin with a couple of inches extra in the remaining rows in the forward cabin and the entire centre cabin. The rear cabin remains unchanged. I updated our What Aircraft? guide the other month to reflect the changes that are rolled out officially from May.

Are you sure you mean PEK (Beijing)? They won't be flying with Thomson Airways on the 752!! Medical seats should be the same as previously.

Sorry Darren ,Should have said Enfida as she is going to Port-El-Kantoui with Thomson.
When she booked her holiday the travel agent asked if she wanted to book seats together etc and she noticed on the screen that bulk head seats were now being sold as leg room seats.
She has sat in these seats previously as medical seats.

Bulkhead seats have always been extra legroom and used as medical seats. This is on the Boeing 737-800, expected for Enfida.

To those who are waiting for the new seat maps to be uploaded and have been told by thomson they will be up on the 19th....ive just checked mine and it is up as ive just confirmed my seats. I fly on the 23rd to mexico and the seat plan was 2-3-2 so should be an ex FC 767.

Hello HolidayTruths.

We just booked our first holiday to Cancun including legroom seats via the First Choice travel agent. She told us the aircraft had 242 across. How do you get a picture of the aircraft seating with Thompsons online ?

When I put my Reference number in it just confirms we have 'already purchased extra space seats & inflight meal' and wont let me go any further than that to see anything else although I did receive a confirmation e-mail from Thompson regarding our actual seat selection ?

Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information. This ensures we get the correct information for you. Your flights are operated by Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extentive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including aircraft photos and seat plans. The seat plan you need is the former Thomsonfly 767-300/ER with 283 seats (long haul). The aircraft may be in Jetairfly livery. The seat plan for selecting your seats will open 90 days before your departure date, but don't be surprised if it's a day or two either side.

A little optimistic news about the 787-8. The FAA have approved the certification plan from Boeing regarding the fix for the battery problems. More details on the FAA's website and Boeings website. It's one step closer to returning them to the air, although there's plenty more to go.

Definitely feeling a little more optimistic about my DL flights in July/August :cheers

but definitely not counting my chickens just yet...... still dont mind the ex FCA 767 birds so either way i will be a happy bunny hopefully :tup
