I am looking at a short trip to Niagara Falls.
I am after any help that members can give so we can plan our stay.
What are the must see/do, prices if possible. Recommended Hotels, would prefer to overlook falls if possible. Is there enough to do for 4 days in and around the area.
Looking forward to your replies.

I've been there 3 times and I think 4 days would be hard to fill.... Two full days is probably enough. Apart from the falls it is a small town with not much else to do. I take it you are staying on the Canadian side. There are several hotels overlooking the falls, the Hilton, the Embassy suites, Marriott, all on Fallsview blvd
. Price would depend on which time of year. They are all 4* hotels. You don't mention if you will have a car or not. One thing, make sure you visit when the Maid of the Mist is running as that is the best thing to do. If you have a car and want a motel more modestly priced, have a look at those on Lundy Lane, the main road into Niagara. The town is small, there is an 'entertainment' area on Clifton Hill....a casino, fast food, some restaurants and lots of bars. There are quite a few tour operators with various scenic drives.

Thank you for the information and link. Not sure about a car however may look at local transport or tours. Toronto is only just down the road as well.
Lots to think about.

Toronto is about 80 miles away... Unless you stay out on Lundy Lane you don't really need a car otherwise, if you're a good walker. Plus parking is expensive. There are lovely gardens all along the parkway down to the falls. It's a nice town to walk sightsee. They have WEGO buses to get around also, you can buy day passes.
http://www.planetware.com/tourist-attra ... n-onnf.htm I don't know how many of the attractions would interest you - to fill up 4days anyway, but if you take one day to go to Toronto then that would work. Will you have children with you?

I was just reminded to tell you about this pretty little town, it's worth a visit, about half an hour drive away.
Good for tourist shopping, eating, browsing, all on the lake.

Thank you for all the information and links. Narrowed it down to 2 hotels and will most probably keep the 4 day visit.
Will let you know what we finally book.

If you are looking at the Fallsview hotels, bear in mind that Embassy suites price includes breakfast and Manager's reception every evening ( couple of free drinks and nibbles.)
I'm sure you will enjoy it wherever you choose, it's a wonderful place to visit...

I visited Niagara once. We decided that the best way is to rent a car. We make this decision in airport when we saw this https://iversta.com/ and you know that was better way than to use city transport. Just for further trips
