I booked a holiday for May a couple of weeks go with Thomson/Tui. I was told that my passport must be valid for at least six months at the time of the holiday - it does valid until 2027. No mention was mad of the added months.

The papers have been full of the information for some weeks but experience tells me that plenty will ignore the rules. I was looking at another forum over visa for Turkey. Someone asked if he would be OK as his current visa expired the day after he returned, of course you are someone said. If anything goes wrong and you overstay then the authorities will turn a blind eye. Can't make it up can you - perhaps the airlines/TOs might like to check before departure that people have insurance - in theory they can do as it is a condition of carriage but they never do - and we all know the results.
