Hi,

My inlaws are going over to Morocco on Monday for a few days on the Tangiers crossing, can you tell me what currency they use over there please?

Hello,

The Moroccan currency is called the Dirham. The converstion rate is around 10-11 Dirham to 1 euro and around 16 Dirham to 1 GB pund.

Thanks, is it best to buy the currency before you leave Spain or get it in Morocco?

I believe the Dirham is a " closed" currency and can only be obtained within Morocco

Yes, I have since found out it's a closed currency, can only be bought in Morocco and you cannot leave with any of the money either.
