I'm travelling alone and would love a AI holiday.
Any advice or suggestions on where to go would be a great help. Money is tight, but I don't mind where or when I travel.
But I do want a nice hot holiday.
i wuold be looking at a holiday in the caribbean, europe is a silly place to do it as there are so many places to eat out and would work out cheaper. look at barbados, some of my fiends have gone their on their own, staying around the gap area if you want nightlife and you are sure to meet so many people. if your looking for secluded then the west ocast is an option but full of families and couples. the hotel escape at thew gap is the cheapest ai i can think if, basic but good amenities and so close to everything, located on the beach
i wouldn't say no to that either. to be fair i don;t know a lot about ai in north africa, you'll have a fab time, let me know how you get on. i usually travel alone find i meet a lot more people that way..
Please, please dont go to Club Sarba 6 in Marmaris Turkey. There was a lady there on her own and she seemed perfectly safe and happy to go out even in the evening for a meal on her own though. This was AI but the food was terrible, probably why she went out at night! Banging doors all night and people loud and rude. I am mentioning this because it is a cheap holiday and you get what you pay for and if you see it advertised please dont be tempted as we were!
We went to Corfu (Agios Gordios) last September (hubby and I) and we had a lovely time there. We saw a number of women who travelled on their own and stayed here. It is so safe and even if you do SC it is safe to go to the restaurants in the evening. There was a young woman staying in the studios near us and she walked everywhere on her own, had her meals etc. so she obviously felt safe. It is a very quiet resort with mainly little families and/or older couples... Everyone was so friendly you wouldnt feel intimidated being on your own. Worth a look!
