I did not think that was too expense seeing as it included flights, transfers, inflight meals, accomodation for 14 nights including breakfast. I had been looking for a holiday deal for months and had seen the same holiday on First Choice for over £700 and the same on other sites?

Considering I paid £600 per person for Greece last year for a week and £600+ for one week in Dom Rep I thought it was rather reasonable.

I suppose if you did it DIY it would be cheaper, but as this is my first trip to Goa I do not know where is best accom wise and much about the flights.

It is about the right amount given your circumstances. If you think about it, it really isn't a lot of money in the scheme of things. I doubt I could go to Brighton for a week for less than £ 500 and I only live 30 miles from there. You're flying thousand of miles and getting your accommodation paid.

Having said that you can find cheaper. There are some very good bargains to be had this time of year but like you say you need to know alot more about the resorts and the hotels before you took one of them or you could end up in the wrong hotel and in the wrong place.

We've just paid £ 455 per person doing it DIY for 2 weeks late March so I don;t think you've done too bad.
