Hi
We are thinking of booking this hotel for a week in September has anyone stayed there and has any advice before we book?
We stayed here October 2004, with 2 x kids age 6 and 2. The hotel is in a fabulous position on lovely promenade, we had a great week on the beach, hotel was OK, but I must stress very noisey (entertainment at pool area must have volume turned up as far as it would go) and room with 4 people in very cramped. In saying that all quietened down around midnight so did not really disturb us!! Loads of kids in hotel, would go back if price was right, really liked the resort.
You will find some info in the reviews section
http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/reviews/spain/balearic-islands/ibiza/santa-eulalia/orquidea-aparthotel/
although there will not be anything from 2006 as the hotel has only just re-opened after being closed for the winter.
If anyone has a review and has not included the info in the above please do so,many thanks,John.

The hotel has a fantastic location right next to the beach, But the rooms are very very small, and all the rooms overlooking the pool are very noisy with the outside entertainment and I mean absolutely blaring, this is ok if you don't mind staying up until midnight, but we have a little one who didn't so it was very tedious after a while. Plus rooms are a bit shabby. Also the kitchen facilites if you are SC are non existant, there are smoke alarms right above the mini kitchen(if you could call it that) so even toasting a bit of the lovely bimbo bread set these off, and this is all you would here going off every morning. I think there must surely be a better hotel to stay in Santa Eulalia as the hotel really does let the resort down.

P.S if you do decide to book this hotel, download the song The Mimic Man off the internet, play it on full volume every night, learn all the actions then you will be prepared for your stay.

Found the hotel facilities to be fine - but agree about the entertainment noise - way OTT - more suited for blackpool
and at peak season it has a disco that goes on til 2am - nightmare if your staying there with kids

anyone know if the hotel has a email address?
Maybe adding a please may induce more replies?
We are staying at the Orquidea from 27/9/06 - 11/10/06, we last stayed there may 98, wanted to know how much things have changed in 8 years
Is the weather still nice at this time of year
I have never been on holiday this late in the season but it is my daughter's 21st b/day in october so thats the reason we're so late goin on holiday.
Our last stay was excellent, but my children were a lot younger then, they are'nt goin to be entertained by Oscar (if he's still there?) anymore
.My grandaughter is coming too so hope there's enough to keep her entertained
she's only 2 an a bit.
My biggest concern is that i read on another site that there had been lots of thefts in the hotel last year, has that problem got worse/better? The last time we visited we all felt really safe in Santa Eulalia, the locals and staff were very helpful and friendly, i hope this isn't a problem anymore?Well really looking forward to comin to the beautiful island again, hope the weathers good as it was last time.
Hope Charlie's bar is still there
Any up to date info would be great
thanks
Jo

its 7 euros for breakfast-not sure in its english or con...and 21 euros for h/b...per person...i just put Orquidea in search and then made out i was booking direct..you get the prices then.....
I stayed a couple of years ago and at breakfast there was a good selection of everything from bread rolls ,juice to bacon and eggs. I enjoyed the food at both breakfast and evening meal both had a good choice. I`m fairly picky with hotel food but enjoyed all my meals. A lot of people were upgrading to hb as it worked out good value.
If your unsure why not pay daily for hb then you can change your mind if you don`t like the food.

Hi Christine,
thanks for the reply, I didn't think we could just have a day or two, thought we might have to book for a week?
But if we can have a day here and there that would be great, gives us more choice.
thanks djwoody, I have tried to do the same search as you but can't seem to get the info. Did it give an email address for the Orquidea?
cheers both of you

Hiya Ss,
recieved email back from orquidea today, the HB is 12 euros per adult per day (really cheap i thought) but min 6 days, works out 84 euros each for a week!!!! (7 days)very good prices
goin to see what food is like when we get there though & then we'll probably book for 1 week & eat out rest.

Def a smart idea to do that Jolou. That way you are not stuck with the food and feel you have to eat it cause you have paid for it!Have a great time!!Ssx
