Hi aziz, I've not stayed in any very quiet resorts in the Algarve, but I have heard some lovely reviews of Ferragudo. Its a small and charming fishing village, which has retained its beauty, and is only a few miles past Carvoeiro. It sounds like a nice peaceful place to stay imo
have a look at the web site http://www.ferragudo.co.uk
Another quiet place that might be suitable would be Burgau, 10 miles west of Lagos. Again, a small fishing village, which has retained its charm. Check out http://www.burgau.co.uk
You could also head east of Faro, to Cabanas or one of the other small resorts along the coast. The eastern Algarve is supposed to be a lot less commercialised than the west. Have a look at the resort reports of the Algarve for some great reviews.
Again, I have not actually stayed in any of these resorts, but have read some lovely reviews. We will definately be visiting Ferragudo this year, when we stay in Carvoeiro, and we will also be spending 3 nights in Cabanas, as we have heard so many good things about the East.

hi again, aziz,
If you want more info on Cabanas and Tavira, there is a member of this forum - Pat 42 - who holidays regularly there and is, in fact, there at this moment. If you send her a private message, I'm sure that she'd be only too happy to help when she returns home next week.

Hi Guys
I am thinking of buying an apartment in Cabanas. I see that Pat 42 visits there but i dont know how to contact her direct.
Has anybody been there and can tell me what the area is like and do many tourists stay in that area.
