if you go through the pages of the Cyprus forum you will find lots of information on what to take it basically boils down to the following
regulars to Cyprus do not use tc's you pay commision (or get a worse rate) when you buy them and the same when you try to cash them
most people tale a little Cyp (say for the first day )then change sterling/eurodepending on your local currency at one of the many banks
if you have a debit card which doesnt make service charges one of those
for emergencies you will find plenty of ATM machines in the major resorts

Hi As Brian has said most of us take cash and change it in the resort
as you get a better rate of exchange

Thats what I do as well. I have changed £100 and will take the rest in sterling.
When i've dropped my case off in Pernera next Sunday i'll go and hire my scooter then ride over to Protaras to change more.
I always use the same place abd find it very good.
I got 0.79 cents to the pound yesterday, when I change more over there i'll get about 84-85 cents to the £1

Cardiff lad - where do you use in Protaras?
I use a chemist opposite the Vriassiana beach hotel.
If you walk past Bells bar and cross the side road its just past Brothers bike hire.
I have always found them very good.
I did check out a few other places but didnt get the rate I get in that chemist.
