Yes your right, the San remo has just been refurbished along with its next door sister hotel the s'estanyol of which i stayed at a few years back.
the location is good, right next to a small narrow beach with water taxis outside to take you intothe town. there are a number of shops and bars nearby which front the quite busy san antonio main road. The town is within walking distance if you fancy a stroll

Hi
Can anyone tell me if the building work at the hotel club san remo in San Antonio Bay is finished yet?
I am due to go on 23 September but have seen a post on a different website saying it was nowhere near finished in June this year.
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

it is a guaranteed unit for colombus, an italian TO, but you can book direct. be prepared for italian entertainments and loud music all day long. looks great though
the refurb and change of clients for both the san remo and sestanyol has certainly improved the image of the area. the small beach and terraces in front of the accommodation was filled with normal people quietly relaxing and not the usual bunch of braying oafs from summers gone by.
the new owner of the hotels may have caused some consternation by employing illegal labour and leaving mountains of building rubble blocking the road and beach but he certainly knows how to run a hotel.
there was no loud music by the way.

Has anybody stayed at the Club San Remo Hotel in San Antonio Bay since it was refurbished?
I have seen a couple of reviews and it sounds awful people are giving it 2/10 and I'm now beginning to wish I hadn't booked there - we fly out on Saturday. I'm taking my 2 young kids and am worrying already and we haven't left yet!!
Any info you can provide will be appreciated.
Many thanks.
