We spent 2 weeks in crete about 3 years ago 17th oct - 1st nov for a whole fortnight, the day time temperatures { in the shade } were in the high 30s and by night shorts and T shirts were ok around 25s .

However this was an exceptianal year but i have been to southern greece about 5 times in late oct and it regularly reaches around 25s but the nights can be cold, sometimes very cold maybe the odd few hours of rain /wind nothing too serious Maybe i have been lucky hope its good for you ...dave

October in the Ionian Island especially Corfu are known for the rainy season, Once went to Kefalonia October 1st it was still as hot as it had been when we went in July but again it was unusual have been before in October and the rain was horrendous so all depends on surcumstance I suppose Hope you enjoy it whatever.

We've had quite a few weeks in various parts of Greece, late September to the first half of October and generally had good weather - even in Zakynthos and Kafallonia. It's usually been pleasant beach weather (mid 20s C) during the day but somewhat cooler at night - ideal for me as I find the main summer months too hot and at least you can sleep at night. We've probably had an average of half a days rain - often a thunderstorm that's cleared up within a few hours.

we are off to Kos(kefalos 28th sept - 13th oct) hope the weather is good it will be our first holiday abroad, dont want rain, do you think it will be ok.

We went to Kos last year end of Sept. beg. of Oct. for 2 weeks, had fabulous weather. Highly recommend a trip on Katerina bookable from the harbour, all day boat trip to Pserimos, Kalymnos - fabulous day with Capt. George you will love it. Also enjoyed trip to Nisyros - Volcano bookable with local agents.

We had a 2 week holiday in Kos and Kalymnos those same 2 weeks in 2004 and had one cloudy day out of 2 weeks - otherwise it was pleasantly hot. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll have a great time.
