Hi Linda - we are quite well located and can do man, bhx, ema, plus liverpool / coventry / blackpool - could even stretch to Luton if needs be..... any suggestions would be great. We did a DIY to majorca last year at the same time and managed to get all inc with flights and a car for about £650 - i think this might be the way to go.......

you can check flights and hotel together on these websites but check the price for accomodation only too as it is usually cheaper to find the flights elsewhere.

For flights try http://www.xl.com and put the word "tesco" in the promotion box to get a bit of a discount.

Also try searching on http://www.travelsupermarket.com for flights as this will give you a few more options.

Fatcodycat has given you some great options there. Another on to check is Jet2, they do holidays now and you can choose different flight options. Only thing is they haven't got from November onwards out yet, but the last week in October is and it's working out about £750 A/I for mainland Spain, and £900 (ish) for the Canaries. I think wintersunshine holidays are fantastic on price too. Good luck with your search, and I hope you find a bargain! Linda x

If you aren't to bothered about weather but want lots to do, how about a holiday village, I think FC have them in Lanzarote, Turkey, majorca, and are about to open one in the Red Sea. Also their are many large resort hotels on Turkeys Med coast (Side, Alayna, Belek etc) this is the only part of Turkey that is considered an all-year-round coast.

Not been myself but from what I read on hear holiday villages are great for people who like lots of activities on their hols.

thank you all for your replies - hubby is trying to convince me we should hold out for a last minute deal - he seems to think being November there will be lots about ...not so sure myself so might wait till we get back from our August hol and look properley then!

there can be some cracking deals for all inclusive and especially for a family of 3 at last minute i would wait if it was me...keep looking in all the windows

i couldnt wait any longer ... and my parents decided they were going to come as well so didnt want to risk leaving it till the last minute ..anyway, have booked the Papagayo Arena in Lanzarote, a little more than we initially wanted to spend but still under the £1000 and well worth it for the extra facilities and the fab reviews i think! thanks again for your help.
