In Baga, Nisha's and Domingo's down Tito's Lane and Jamie's, along the main Baga road toward the creek. Great food at night in Shining Star beach shack along the end of Baga beach.
One of the best and cheapest, was Wilson's at the bottom of Calangute beach road, turn right at the hotel on the corner before the beach, stay to the left for a 5 minute walk, stay left past another hotel, and walk accross 20 mtrs sand, and the restaurant is in front of Planet Goa accomodation. Four of us ate and drank there and it cost approx Rs/-840. Best prawn byriani I have ever tasted, and lovely thick pancakes with chocolate sauce. Went back two or three times, and still excellent food and value each time.

any recommendations for good chinese restaurants on the candolim calangute stretch please?? My Mum loves chinese but doesnt eat Indian and we havent really ate at many chinese here as we are just so so with chinese food..I know most restaurants have chinese on the menu but would prefer an all chinese restaurant. Baga is just a nightmare to park so candolim would be much easier for us

not sure the name of the road buts its on the corner of the road that leads down to Super Tailor[left hand side

Is that the one next to The Republic of Noodles/lemon tree's restaurant.
Could anyone give me any info on the Republic Of Noodles, We fancy giving it a try next visit, but never heard any reports, other than a long time ago, someone posted it was very very pricey. Theres no trace of a menu or prices to be seen outside.

Cheers gooner ! Have always took a wide birth of the place due to knowing what they charge for rooms, but (okay somethings a bit o/priced) think this could be worth a call in for a change - has always been a great set-up.

Preacher i must check out the name for you... had forgotten sorry!! calangute market is right by the circle, so if coming from candolim end its where you turn left to go to the Vrundavan hospital (formerly Victor Braganza) so go left first right and you are sort of right in there, and the shop is about there but only open at night... you cant miss the smell of fish in the market...th emarket runs behind those fist shops if you turn left at the circle going down beach road...

You must have seen it Alan, on the sandy taxi carpark, always looked very empty when we have passed it, could be due to time of year we go, and it did close down the last week we were there.
yeah,i remember seeing it but cant remember it being open. I hope its open when we get there as i like the sound of the reviews.
