Road Works in Los Cristianos

I have come across a lot of articles relating to road works and refurbishment of the promenades and the Los Cristianos port. We will be holidaying in Parque Santiago 3 area and we were hoping to do a lot of walking with our 2 year old . I am just wondering will there be much disruption for buggies. We are arriving on the 13th of October 06 .
Just back from Los Christianos there is a lot of disruption at the moment along the promanade near Burger King and also some other areas but should be ok by October so should be ok for walking
