As this is not specifically a Turkey question you may get a better response if you post in the Travel Insurance sticky at the top of the General Holiday Enquiries forum.

You would need to check the wording of your particular policy to check if you have to pay and claim back or whether it is billed to the insurance company. It's usually the latter, but you do need to check.

However you may not be covered if you fell after having a few as many policies do not cover claims where alcohol has been consumed.

No insurer pays out when thre is alcohol in your system....

Depending on your injuries you may not be tested......

My mum fell in a bar.... we were covered, because luckily she had just had water with dinner..... and had not had any alcohol. Because we were out at night when it happened.. they tested.... The bill was
c 5000 lira... she got it back wiuthin a week of return to UK, minus the excess charge.

my hubby got taken into marmaris hospital a few weeks ago and all we had to pay was £50 excess but every policy has different excess, insurance sorted it all out, this wasnt due to alcohol and i agree with perfume doubt any accidents due to alcohol will be covered

Oh thankyou i was just thinkin of an example of why i would end up in hospital haha!

if you read most insurance policies there is a clause on alcohol
but if you are not sure give a big company a ring like insure and go they are always helpful

Noticed on one of your other posts, that you are looking at an extended stay.

Please make sure that your policy covers you for this. Some policies will, but some have limits on the duration of individual trips.
