Surprise surprise, there are a few of these policies springing up now! There's a couple of similar threads over on the General Questions forum. If you have an annual insurance policy or other travel insurance, then you don't need extra cover (read the small print though). Most of these travel protection policies, from what I've read are just normal insurance policies rebranded in the light of recent events.

Dazbo5... I have contacted my own travel insurance company who I have annual insurance with and they dont protect for airlines going bust basically.

To be honest its not something I have given thought to before, checking in small print for airline failure.

The way it is at the moment, the insurance company is probably just as likely to bust as the airline!!
