The Holiday Vilage is located in Sharm so is not really what you would be looking for if you wish to go to either El Gouna or Hurghada.

Hi, I'm not aware of any hotels in that area that have swim up rooms

The Grand Resort and sister hotel Grand Hotel have the best entertainment I have found in Egypt - eg folklore type shows every night eg fakir, belly dancer, Nubian dancers as well as live singers in various outlets and a 'show' put on by the animation team (amateur but its there if you want it!). There is a different performance in each of the two hotels every night and they are timed so that you can watch both if you wish. There is either a violinist or saxophonist playing along to backing track every afternoon at the adult pool in the Grand Resort. Its quite pleasant to swim past listening to classical tunes! In addition there is a night club in the Grand Mall next to the hotel though I've only been in a coupe of times and it was very quiet.

The Hard Rock Cafe is only a few minutes walk along the pedestrianised area.

During the day the animation team put on water aerobics, soft gym, volleyball etc though this can be easily avoided if desired.
