It's someting like 20 euros or so.

Some of my family members have just returned from Albufeira and said the boards on the taxi ranks are
advertising taxi's fares surprisingly cheap. They seem to recall Albufeira to Vilamoura was €15 one way
(or thereabout).

But whether that's because it's still low season there or not, I don't know.

They must be doing fixed fares for certain destinations then, because it costs us just under a tenner to get to Salgados from Modelo, and three years ago we paid €22 from Albufeira to Vilamoura.

Yes I thought that too - or as I said earlier, maybe it's because it's out of season.

I seem to recall paying €20 - €25 from Albufeira to Vilamoura a few years back.
But that was in the height of the season too.

It was definately €15 last May (whit week) from Vilamoura to Balia/Alto Da Colina.

Not much more than it cost to get into the old town of Albufeira or to Algarve shopping.

The bus to Vilamoura cost €7 for us (2 adults, a child and a baby) so €15 for a taxi wasn't bad. Previous time we went was in 2006 and the same journey cost us €12 each way in a taxi.
