Things to do around La Cala?

Hi all. We are going to an apartment in 10 days in La Cala De Mijas, and wondered if anyone can recommend any days out. We will have a hire-car so travel shouldn't be a problem. We have never been to Costa Del Sol before so it's new (and exciting!) and are planning to see Gibraltar and Puerto Banus, but would also like to see some of olde worlde Andalucia. Any hints or tips would be really helpful. Thanks in advance

If you have a car you could go up into the mountains. Ronda, Coin, Mijas are all very nice for trips and lovely views too. Sometimes we just set of and see where we land, best take map incase you get lost!!
