Anyone discovered the JML bags you can pop a sandiwch into the toaster and it turns out to a grilled sandwich,
NOt only good for the Goa forum, but anyone who has access to a toaster.

You can get Marmite over there although my OH says it isn't quite the same as here.....i'm in the hate it camp so it doesn't bother me

Don't bother taking shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste (unless you use a particular preferred brand), you can get it there....more space in the case

I generally take tea bags and sweeteners and sometimes I take coffee. I usually pack tea bags and coffee in re-sealable bags, (double bagged to avoid leakage). Less weight than the original packaging.

Dont laugh but I always take a bottle of Robinsons squash as - being diabetic - although im not a goodie two shoes - I dont trust the diet drinks and squash over there! If anyone has any advice/sugggestions of which drinks are actually sugar free please let me know! I drink loads over there and would rather overdose on the sugar rush by eating rather than drinking! PS I get fed up of plain water!

We used to take marmite in the early days but now you can get it there, english mustard for those steaks, Butter my OH always packs much to my disgust!!! It travels quite well.................Strong cheese ...then we always throw it away at the end of the holiday because we have eaten out all the time.

Toiletries you can get there like Fizzy2 says but tea is a must.

Steradent you can't buy in Goa for those who have false teeth!!!

Lime soda with sweetners/or salt

fresh juices although could be quite sweet

If you're staying out for a longer peroid then you tend to miss cheese, bacon & chocolate...

Oxo cubes from the £1 shop as the Maggi cubes are rubbish.

Cant go with out me malt loaf i love a snack when i get in so always have a piece can have butter on it this yr because we have a fridge or so they say and last yr took 3 boxes of mince pies from asda because Muslims can eat them as well and they where lovely i used to give them out as well as English chocolate,may well do the same this yr

Ice bags to make your own cubes from bottled water. Great for a quick drink before you go out or come home

Sausages, bacon and Laughing cows triangles - plus of course Dairy Milk. Better than currency out there as far as getting extra towels, toilet rolls etc

No matter where we go in the world colleen brings her own favourite biscuits and wee buns cause she likes them with her tea but she never eats them, at the end of each holiday I open the cupboard or fridge and they crawl out and throw themselves in the bin slan(cheers)

We take a jar of coffee and coffee mate because the hotel room never has enough coffee sachets or creamer in it and also where we stay they cost a lot.

We used to take Marmite in those heart shaped pods, but as I haven't seen any recently so a small jar will go with us instead.

Himself cannot have a coffee in our room without a McVitie Digestive biscuit so we have to take two packets with us.

I like to have a sucky sweetie every so often so I take a pack of 5 tubes of Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles.

We don't take chocolate bars with us just in case they melt, but we do buy a bag of Maltezers and a bag of Minstrels that are usually on offer at Gatwick. If we forget to buy them we end up buying them on the plane.

As we stay in the south, we cannot always get the toiletries that we need or like and those we do see are quite expensive.

We usually take our own suntan lotion because we need SPF30 and SPF25 for the entire holiday and can only ever find SPF8.

We also take three or four small bottles of anti bacterial gel.

All my shoes I have not polished since our last trip.
At 10rps a clean it is cheaper than buying shoe polish.

i've only just gotten into the habit of not taking any t-shirts with me.

i just buy a dozen or so in the first couple of days and use them all holiday, then take them home and use them for the next six months before we go again.

the only clothes i intend to take this time are smartish things for those nice restaurants!

Got to have my music for the room its great nowdays with ipod & dock, remember the days of taking 100s of cds and ghetto blaster I used to start months before the holiday putting all my favourite compilations on discs would not be able to do that now with the weight allowance i then would give them all away before we flew home to make more room in cases.
We also take 2 large china mugs cant be doing with drinking out of them little brown cups

Oh yes Allan how could I forget Ipod and Speakers. Great for getting ready in the evening or when playing cards on the balcony. Looking forward to listening to Prem Josua's new album on that this year

I bought a speaker thing on a First Choice flight about two years ago. It is nothing special but it does a good job.

so t shirts are cheap and are shoes too?
am I being a bit soft packing SO light, ie two pairs of shorts 2 vest tops 2 bikinis, three outfits, ladies supplies essential toiletries and my sunglasses,
I'm trying to buy myself my summer wardrobe out in Goa, is that wise?

Dont know judsmiles think you should bring a bit more on the outfit side of it I have to say I have never seen anything nice enough in goa to buy I have got things made ok .but I dont think the fashon is that great there ...colleen
