Hi Everyone
Only back from my 8th visit to turkey, think it is time for a change.
really thinking of Cyprus for next years holiday , will be going end of August beginning of September.
We have prices for two apartments, in Protaras
Evalena and Livas, both in Fig Tree bay, like the look of both and have got good prices for both
Would appreciate any comments, on either of these and on Protaras
thanks
Jen
the livas are in pernera.
both are instead in the hotel revview forum for cyprus
the Evalena is the OPPOSITE END of Protaras from fig tree bay [about 1.5km]and is a grade B Apart hotel
the Livas is a class A Apart hotel as already said is in Penera not far from Pernera Bay

Livas (in Pernera, 25 minutes walk from Protaras - well everyone else has pointed it out.. lol ) is a Small (ish) family run hotel where most of the guests are repeat bookings (we've been twice this year and once last year there). Its more geared to those that want to relax (ie they won't have pool polo, water aerobics, killer pool etc) but does get families going. Everyone gets to know you and makes you feel very welcome, which we love. However it isn't the ritz and you won't be getting 5 star service. To me its better than 5 star as you don't have some one paid to pretend to care what you want and "yes sir" "no sir" you all the time. In the Livas you get friendly people who make you feel like you are part of the family (having been 3 times I'm not sure if we aren't now?.. lol)
Pernera is a little quieter than Protaras but still has plenty of restaurants and bars, good beaches (but not as big as Protaras) and other bits and bobs going on. Again for us we prefer it being less crowded and lively as we like to go to the noise and come away when done rather than the other way around...

I've been staying at The Livas for 10 years now, you won't find a nicer family to stay with but the apartments are absolutely nowhere near Fig Tree Bay. Pernera is a lovely area to stay in.
Hi Jenni
Like you we have been going to Marmaris Turkey for many years, infact it's the only place we have ever gone.
We have booked for Vangelis Aparthotel in Protaras for Aug 2011, can't wait like going aboard for the first time lol
We have been to Marmaris that many times we have made many friends there and know it better than we know Blackpool.
