baggage allowance

welcome to HT

Your hold luggage is 20kg and if you are over they may charge you excess baggage, most airports are quite strict with luggage allowances these days. Maybe put lighter items in your hand luggage (5kg) ie flipflops
undies etc and keep the heavier items for your checked in luggage.

hope that helps you

hi what i ment was instead of taking any hand luggage put the allowance of having a hand luggage in to my main luggage so it would be 25kg and not takin any hand luggae onto the plane?
Reply
no its needs to be kept seperate as it will make your hold lugguage overweight which will incur excess baggage charges.

Hi Zara,

Welcome to HT :)

I'm afraid that what Lily says is correct. I know that the way baggage allowances are set out can be confusing and can vary between airlines. However, in this case you are only allowed a maximum of 20 kgs as hold luggage for checking in and a maximum of 5kgs as hand luggage and they can't be combined.

However, are you travelling alone or with friend/family/ partner? If you are, you are usually allowed to combine your allowances up to the maximum for everybody together as long as no single bag exceeds the limit set per bag for handling purposes. For some airlines this is 23kgs but can be up to 30kgs with others - check your T&Cs. So if you are travlling with someone who won't be using up all their allowance, then you could take extra in your own case as long as the overall total is within the limits (eg 40kgs if there are two of you, 60kgs if there are three and so on). However, you can't usually combine your hand baggage allowance in this way - this must be kept separate, that is, each bag must weigh only 5kgs or less

hello fellow HT users!:-)

on my recently asked question about our MAN-JSI flight (TXC2486) (20/7/2012) do you know the reg of the a/c flying us there?

oliveer,

It could be any of several as they are rotated regularly. They're all the same inside though so it makes little difference.

Tuesday flights to Antalya - just wondered what happened to todays 9.15 am flight to Antalya today - sorry dont know exact flight no. Checked flight checker and M/Cr airport site but I don't seem able to find it - only asking because we are due to fly out on 13 Sept on that flight and we have heard that TCX have been changing days & flight times recently.

bag54,

You will be notified if there are any significant changes to your flights. MAN-AYT-MAN (TCX2848/9) departed on time and is due back 15 minutes early at 1930.

Hi Guyz
I was just wondering if anyone can advise, my flight has come up as available to book seats its a week earlier than it should be, BUT you can only book normal seats, not any emergency exits or in the old premium cabin ( any seats that you pay £40 for ) , I was wondering are they showing as blue & not available because its not supposed to be open for booking seats till the 26th July, Im just perplexed as to why you can book any normal seat ?
thanks

bigal993,

You need to pay extra and request extra legroom seating and are available from 90 days before your departure date. More details here. You can only 'upgrade' to the old premium seats onboard the aircraft due to tax reasons, details here.

My daughter is due to fly out on TCX926 on Saturday from Glasgow to Sanford and my question is what kind of inflight entertainment should she expect (if any). She will be in economy class.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

can you tell me what Thomas cook are doing to flight times ?
The last number of weeks, my future flight (01/08/2011) TCX2882 Manchester Antalya and schedule departure at 10:45 has been leaving at 07.50. On my tickets it still says 10.45, but like ive said, this flight is leaving on time each week at 07.40-07.50

many thanks

Katfras,

You'll find aircraft and IFE information on our What Aircraft? guide 9link below).

runcornsue1,

Your flight will depart as per the times quoted on your tickets, unless you are notified any different. The same flight doesn't necassarily depart at the same time throughout the season. TCX2882 on 01/08/11 is scheduled to depart at 1045, arriving in AYT at 1710.

Hi Darren

A couple of weeks ago I asked about TCX 472 MAN-SFB 29th July which you said was on an A330-200. Any news yet on where it comes in from before our flight yet please?

Is it a bit early to say what actual plane we will be on?

Thanks again

They're all identical inside so is makes little difference. The flight comes in from sanford (TCX262/3) or Cayo Coco (TCX174/5).
