Sunaddict, yes it seems I have just found that out lol.
Oh, well. Hustle 'n' bustle it is then.
Hi, hope someone (Darren?) can help. Flying on a TCX Boeing 752 in July and have just booked my seats...we normally like to sit towards the front of the plane but am a bit disappointed to find that rows up to around 13 are booked already. At the moment I have gone for row 26, definitely want a row with a window but don't just want a view of the wing. Have also read that we should avoid rows approx 13 to 16 due to lack of window. Do you think we should be ok with 26 or are there any drawbacks? Can change it again if necessary. Thanks.
If you want a row aft of the wings with a window, I would look at little further back than that. Row 26 is on the trailing edge of the wing. If you want a window view with no wing in view, I'd look at the rear cabin from row 31 aft. Avoid the last row as there's no window. The others have.
Darren
Thanks so much for the quick reply, great info as always.
Hi again Darren. As we will have a view of the wings in row 26 do you think row 18 would be any better. I know this is still over wing but really don't want to sit any further back on plane (not keen on flying and have always preferred sitting towards front). Seatguru states rows 15 and 17 have no window at all, will 18 definitely have a window. Just wondering why there are no windows in some rows...can't be very pleasant?
Row 18 is probably worse than row 26 for views. Row 18 is pretty much middle of the wing so you'll see very little. row 26 is to the rear of the wing so you'll have some view of the ground, but obscured slightly by the wing. Of the two, 26 is better than 18 views wise. Some rows don't have a window as it's where air conditioning ducting and wires are routed. As the area below rows 15 and 17 are where much of the machinery is located, that's why those rows don't have a window.
Darren
That's great, thanks again for your help.
We're going to Cuba with Thomas Cook flying on an A330-200, I've booked seats 43H & 43J (the very back seats) is there a window at these seats?
Thanks
carl m,
Hope someone can assist. I am flying to TFS from ABZ on the 16th June with who I thought was TCX only to have the flight number confirmed as OBS3418 followed by Orbest A320.
Booking was made through TCX so am I right in assuming they have leased an A320 from Orbest as I thought they went out of business back in Feb.

Thanks
Welcome onboard

ABZ-TFS-ABZ (OBS3418/9) are currently showing as operated by an Orbest (Portugal) Airbus A320-200. The airline was bailed out by Barcelo I beleive.
Darren
Many thanks for getting back so promptly. Oh well here is hoping its better leg room in the A320 than it was on the 757-2 that normally serves this route.

Also on flights to Sanford last year we could pool the checked in baggage weights. ie instead of 15kg bags each have one 30kg bag for two.
Thanks in anticipation.
Your aircraft should be coming in from Palma, Majorca (TCX2339).You can pool luggage but any bag in excess of 30kg won't be permitted.
Darren
Thank you.
Hello, we are flying BHX to MAH on the 27th May 2013 on flight TCX4048. Can you tell me which aircraft the flight uses and also if it is the first flight of the day, or if the aircraft is coming in from another flight immediately before.
BHX-MAH-BHX (TCX4048/9) are operated by Boeing 757-200. It's the first flight out for that aircraft at 0630. The aircraft comes in the previous evening and night stops.
Darren
That time of year again....! Could you please tell me which type of aircraft I'll be flying on and where our aircraft comes from prior to departure....? Flight No Tcx2822 on 20/9/13 @ 18:55 from Manchester to Dalaman...?
Thanks in advance......Ash......

MAN-DLM-MAN (TCX2822/3) are operated by Boeing 767-300/ER. The aircraft should be coming in from Mahon, Menorca (TCX2479).
Darren
