Sent an email about 2 weeks ago querying Premium upgrade hold and hand baggage allowances. No reply so went to the local shop who made a phone call and told me that it was still 23kgs/7kgs per person.
Today I've received a reply to original email - now saying 20kgs/5kgs per person!!!!Further the "my booking" page says standard luggage allowance 20kgs.
Right, is anyone due to fly Premium in the near future and has received their tickets?? If so,what luggage allowances are on the ticket?

It is still 23/7 as far as I know but you realy need to go off what's on your tickets when yo get them as that is the official document stating your allowance.
Darren
I agree Darren ....but last holiday with Thomson we didn't get the ticket booklet until ~ 2 weeks before - my wife has normally packed/unpacked and packed again before then!!!!
Does anyone know when I can book my seats for a flight departing 3rd December. I've seen several durations mentioned.
If you ring the airline you can do it 90 days prior to your inbound flight. Online it is 60 days prior.
Glad I asked. I didn't know that. I'll ring them early September.
Hi Darren hope your ok. I was wondering if there has been any changes to our flight 7352 bhx to pfo on 27th July. It's ok you have told me it's 757 but as I said before Thomson have told us it could be a 767. Would just like to know because of the seating. Thanks Darren in advance
I'd just add that it might be worth printing out the page Darren linked to which says you get 5kg by showing your certification at check in.
On several occasions we've found the check in staff didn't know about this and weren't going to believe us till we showed them the print out. Mostly this has been in the UK on the way out.
Hope this helps.

Subject: THOMSON AIRWAYS ... Q&As
It will be a 767, ex thomsonfly in longhaul configuration (283) so 33" legroom and if you've booked extra legroom you'll be in premium(more that likely) with 37" legroom.

That's definately a good idea. If you're travelling to popular diving destinations, check-in staff know about the extra but I've flown through some non-diving destination airports and staff weren't aware of it. If you have the printout to present if questions are asked, it makes life easier although it still took 20 minutes to convinced them at Luxor after being in Hurghada playing with Dolphins for a week!
Darren
If you have a 20kg allowance then the 5kg takes you above the 23kg per bag limit which means you would have to take two bags, so unless you are buying more the extra is pretty useless IMO. I am flying premium so I get 23kg so would still need an extra bag. If you aren't buying extra then the 5kg is meaningless.
Just take 23kg in your suitcase, then 5kg in a seperate bag. That's how I do it. All my diving gear goes in the suitcase with fins on the outside, gear in the core with clothes around to cushion things. Remaining clothes in excess of the standard limit goes in a seperate bag as my 5kg divers allowance. It's not as ideal as everything going in one suitecase, but there are limits on what baggage handlers can lift. Hence the weight restriction. That's how i'll be packing in 8 weeks time. I once took 2 suitcases to Antigua, but then my luggage allwance was 46kg (2x 23kg) on that flight so no problem with what not to take!
Darren
As a manual handling instructor I have no problem with weight limits. I am taking 2 bags with a limit of 43kg so no problem
We always end up with 3 checked bags; one for OH's diving gear, one for my stuff and a small bag for everything else OH needs!
