geemac,

GLA-CUN-GLA should be operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-300/ER. All premium seats, apart from those on the front row, offer the same basic facilities so there are no best or worst seats. It's very much personal preference, so whatever you prefer. The ones on the front row have IFE screens and tray-tables that fold from the arm rest and have a bulkhead in front. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Hi all,

Flying LGW - MLE - LGW on TOM054 on 6th May in Premium Class and was looking for seat reccomendations. Looking for a good view of the atols on arrival and would prefer no bulkheads. Im also wondering if it's a Tomson or ex First Choice plane scheduled.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Rich

LGW-MLE-LGW (TOM054/5) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extensive aircraft informtion on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). You'll find an approach photo in to MLE if you click on the aircraft type taken from the starboard (right) side. Any window seat will give good views on approach and take-off. You'll get much better views from the sea planes if you're flying to your resort, examples here. Depending on the route, you won't see as much on approach, but get some great views from the port (left) side of the aircraft on deaparture, assuming the northerly runway is in use at the time. The only seats I'd say avoid are row 9 in premium as there's no window on that row. Row 2 are bulkhead by the windows so any of rows 3-8 and you'll be fine.

MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM196/7) are operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER. It's normally a former First Choice aircraft, but if you check back in May, we'll let you know. We can't comment on load factors, reasons here.

barjiash,

It's a little early to know for sure as I don't have the full Summer 2012 schedule as yet, only the winter 11/2 at the moment. MAN-DLM-MAN (TOM308/9) would normally be a Boeing 757-200. If you check back after May, I'll double check for you.

Hi Darren,

Flying from MCR to Varadero on the 6th TOM142. Have seen this has been delayed by about 2hrs on its last 2 flights. Is this just a coincidence?? Looking forward to our holiday but not an extra 2 hrs at MCR.

Good afternoon,

We have already booked our summer holiday, we are off to Tenerife again, we would like to know what aircraft is likely to be used, our flight details are:-

LGW - TFS TOM4744 Sunday 12 Aug
TFS - LGW TOM4745 Sunday 26 Aug

Last year we managed to have the extra leg room seat both ways, we liked it so much that we have booked them, which rows are these seats?.

Reading the press and the internet Thomson are due the 787 in June, and it will doing the medium length routes, if it is based to LGW is there any chance it could be used to TFS.

buzzer14,

Please quote your flight numbers, I can't comment on specific flights unless I have them as there's often more than one flight. The ex-TOM's are generally used from BHX on long haul but the ex-FCA are sometimes used, depending on the flight number, aircraft maintenane etc.

LGW-TFS-LGW (TOM4744/5) should be a Boeing 737-800 (winglets). You'll find seat plans linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below) showing extra legroom rows.

You've probably read old news. The latest on 787 deliveries is on our What Aircraft? guide. It'll be at least this time next year when the first is delivered, subject to any further delays.

DLT1,

Delays occur for any number of reasons from ground handling issues, late passengers, weather, technical problems, to name but a few. You can't go off past flights as there are too many variables. The airline will do it's best to get you away on schedule. Delays are as much as an inconvenience for the airline as it is for passengers.
