This is a question about taking prescribed medication onboard an aircraft.

Can anyone tell me how you would go about getting both oral suspension liquid and possibly a Gel medication onboard the aircraft legally please, as my partner needs it every four hours for arthritic pain relief. The problem is,unlike a trip to Europe our flight to Cancun is down as 11 hours in the air,and my partner will need to have it in her hand luggage on route at least twice ?

Who should we contact in the first instance ?

Some thoughts...
1. You could get the suspension from the pharmacist not pre mixed with water (depending on what the suspension is). Then you could simply add the water to the bottle once on the flight (tap water is usually fine for this).
2. Get your GP to prescribe smaller sized gels - I'm assuming you need topical NSAIDs (?) - these are all available generically (non-branded) in sizes less than 100g.
Hope this helps.

Its that time of the year again.

Hi Darren

I noticed you said to somebody on here that the flights to menorca would be 737.
I am going to Menorca on 9th July from Manchester.
Will it be one of these New 737 with the sky interior, hope so!!

Thanks

Seatplans is highly inaccurate. Usually they take info from last year this year all long haul flying is done by 2-3-2 aircraft

The flight is operated by a B767-300

Hi,
We are flying to Jamaica from Gatwick on June 26th with Thomson flight no. TOM030. We have booked the extra leg room seats, could anyone tell me the the seat configuration of the flight and also recommend any specific row to request that is better for extra leg room than others?
Thanks in advance....

The seating config will be 2-3-2 and seating numbers are personal preference really, there are no 'better' rows.

Great thank you for your help, is there still in flight entertainment and meals on Thomsons long haul flights, as I think I read somewhere that this was changing this year? Thanks again for your help, its really appreciated!

Hi, just wanted some info on flight TOM772 14/8/12 Manchester-Sharm el Sheikh. What type of aircraft is used please. Been looking at flights around that date and they all seem to have a 1 hour tournaround but this flight has a 1hour 15mins turnaround. Hoping this means it's a larger 767.

Regards.

Hi Darren

Thanks for your help in the past. A while ago I asked you about the plane for the TOM2456 and TOM2457 Manchester to Heraklion and you didn't have the information available. The online seat booking has opened this morning and it is a seat config of 2-4-2. What plane is it likely to be?

Thanks for your help

Malcolm,

2-4-2 will be a Boeing 767.

does this mean it has inflight entertainment?

I wouldn't think so as it's a short haul route and I would imagine it is a Thomsonfly short haul configured 767 with 328 seats. Only the long haul 767's have in flight entertainment and these are in 2-3-2 arrangement.
