danielle0216uk,
Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are often several flights. It's likely to be an ex-FCA 767 (2-3-2), but I can't check without a flight number.

i have just booked row 14 on a thomson airways b757. are these good seats, more inportant is there a window on this row for my 4 year old to see out he is so excited. why i ask i remember a seat having a blank window please put his mind at rest.
Welcome onboard

Seating is very much personal preference. The seats you've booked are as good as any other. I've sat in row 14 for 6.5 hours, no complains from me. Seating is much of a muchness really on those aircraft so it's down to whatever you prefer. My only criticism, and it's only minor, you sometimes get a little draft being aft of the door 2 area. Row 14 has a window, it's 15 that doesn't. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
Darren
thanks for that. my son is looking forward to flying and sitting next to the window so we should be ok with these seats. if we sat further back we might end up over the wing and he might see less.
Can't prebook seats when logging in yet.
It depends which flight and when as there are several weekly flights to MAH. If it is a 737, it could be any of the fleet as they are swapped and changed pretty much weekly for maintenance and operational reasons. There are no guarantees it will be one of the newer ones with the sky interior, although there are several that are MAN based.

As they had advised me, the selection now goes live 90 days ahead of your return flight both on-line and by phone, so there is no longer the difference. The downside of the new policy for those staying 14 nights is that those customers who are holidaying for 7 or 10 nights get to choose the outbound seats before you can.
We signed-in on the morning of the first day we were allowed and got exactly the seats we wanted for the return flight but had to settle for others on the outbound.
So the advantage against last year is the web selection opening at 90 days but the disadvantage is that it is 90 days from the return, not the outbound.
I am flying Tom 196 -Man/ Cun on the 04th july.
Could you please tell me where this plane is inbound from prior to becoming the Cancun departure?
many thanks
Jonboy
Remind me in the middle of May and I'll confirm it for you as I don't have the information to hand at the moment althugh it's likely to be TOM122/3, also from Cancun.
Darren
They said there had been a flight change and they still didnt know which plane would be used.
It seems strange as it only 3 weeks today and they were able to book my seat for the return journey on TOM389.
Do you think the flight time will change if they have allocated the original plane onto another route? Thanks Jay.
It could be a maintenance change as aircraft are in and out at the moment so your outbound flight is effected, but not your inbound. It's scheduled to be a Boeing 757-200 and if bookings are based on that with 235 seats, you'd expect it to be so. It's unlikely to be downgraded to a Boeing 737-800 as they only have 189 seats, unless bookings allow it. Assuming it's a narrow body aircraft, they're pretty much all the same inside in terms of seating (other than seat design and placement) so it makes little difference really. There shouldn't be any time changes.

Thomson Airways have announced their initial long haul routes to be operated by the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. They will include selected flights departing from Gatwick, Manchester and East Midlands to Orlando Sanford and Cancun commencing May 2013. Looks like another trip to Mexico is due next summer!
Mexico 2013 it is then... dates and flights may be a bit of a help beforehand for booking purposes though
Also, can anybody confirm that the upgrade to Premium no longer includes the 23kg hold luggage allowance? I thought I had seen that when we booked, but invoice states 20kgs and I'm just confused! Perhaps I just imagined it after we had the increased allowance last year, and it's wishful thinking! But also don't really want to set myself up for excess baggage charges at check in.....
Thanks in advance....
LGW-HOG-LGW (TOM094/5) should be operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER, but I'll be able to confirm it in May. The premium cabin includes 23kg of luggage allowance, but by all means contact Thomson to confirm it as the invoice / tickets are often incorrect.
Darren
It's planned to be an ex-FCC. It will be exTfly for may, but switch for the 1st June
Thank you both for your very swift replies- I will definitely contact Thomsons about the luggage allowance.
Thanks Darren.
We too have booked Premium with Thomson for our holiday to Mexico, and I contacted the airline direct last week to query the baggage allowance. They stated 23kg hold and 7kg hand luggage.
Regards,
Pat
