joeseptuk,

As you're in extra legroom seats, you are limited to the exit rows. Which to pick is personal preference really. The over-wing exits are fine, as are the ones at the front of the aircraft.

Thanks RogerDoger - As said initially, I wanted to make sure and I couldn't find anywhere on the website where it stated it was still 23kg..........I was obviously looking in the wrong place!

Thanks again to everybody to who replied to me - it seems I will fit those extra shoes in after all!! :D

A tip for those in extra leg room seats beside the exit doors - we've just come back from Sharm and we felt the extra leg room seats were worth every penny.

But the seat next to the exit door (we had 32 A) has some sort of draft. Before take-off one of the crew said it would be cold and and suggested I might like to move to the aisle seat which would be empty, but I like looking out of the window so I stayed put. My legs did get quite cold, even with thin trousers on, so I kept a shawl handy for the return, problem solved!

Hi Beth,

We have always booke 32D, E and F, and yes, your right it is cold in those seats. However, due to the amount of legroom these seats provide I'm always willing to suffer the draft LOL!!

I've experienced this myself - but I've never understood the physics of how you can a darft in a sealed cabin?!

There's less insulation around the doors making it colder when the outside temperatues are well below freezing, anything up to -70c and beyond and there's often a small amount of airflow from the doors creating a small draft. It doesn't take make sub-zero air to cause a cold draft! It's not just row 32 on the 757's that have this, row 12 does too.

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows which type of aircraft TOM 312/3 MAN - RAK 31/05/12 returning 14/06/12 will be.
Is it worth pre-booking seats with Thomson?

Thank you in advance

I'll have to check the aircraft type in the morning for you as I'm mobile so don't have it to hand. Whether to pre-book or select seats is up to you really. Seating is assigned using a best fit model taking in to account pre-book and selected seats so remaining passengers are slotted in the best they can. The majority of passengers under the same booking will be seated together. However, the nature of aircraft seating means it's inevitable not everyone will be seated together. For peace of mind or if you want to sit in a particular part of the aircraft, you may wish to pay the extra.

EDIT: MAN-RAK-MAN (TOM312/3) is looking like a Boeing 737-800.
