I will be flying on the same flight number in April, and this is ex FCA, with seating 2-3-2, so I guess you might have same plane.
rosedene,
Welcome onboard
I don't have the full Summer schedule as yet, but Madiera flights are normal a Boeing 757-200 with an odd A320-200. I should get the schedule in March if you want to ask again after the 25th.

ChrissyR,
LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM022/3) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extensive aircraft information including photos and seat plans on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). The inbound flight is normally Montego Bay, Jamaica (TOM024/5) and is scheduled to land at 0725 Sunday morning for your departure at 0915.

Thanks.

Me again! Have just noticed on the First Choice desktop alert for my holiday that 'There is no onboard entertainment on the 737-300'. I am panicking now as apparently this is the aircraft i will fly to Cancun on and as this is an 11 hour flight this is not good! Does anyone know.

lou_uk,
When is it you're flying? What are your flight numbers? There are several flights to ACE so please provide as much information as you can in order to ensure it's the right flight. TOM's flight schedule is a very long list!

ChrissyR,
There is a mistake on the system. It should say Boeing 767-300 (as I mentioned previously). The Boeing 737-300 is a short range aircraft and can't make it that far without several fuel stops, and with only half the number of passengers! It's true the 737-300 doesn't have IFE though as it's an older generation aircraft. You aren't the only one to raise this issue! You'll find all the aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
EDIT: Sunaddict just beat me to it!

Darren I have just moved the above in to here but because of the post time it has appeared a page back so will possibly get missed, can you please help 'Hopingforagoodbreak' our new member.
Thanks
Graham
Ps I seem to remember you saying you were going for a flight on a Dakota, did you have a flight and if so I know you must have some pictures of this amazing aircraft that you can add to the forum, I would love to see them

Not a problem
Hopingforagoodbreak,
Welcome onboard
LGW-HOG-LGW (TOM094/5) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER (winglets) on a 2 weekly basis at the moment with an ex-FCA on the oposing weeks. Assuming there are no changes, your flights should be an ex-FCA. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Whether to upgrade to the premium cabin and if it's value for money is personal preference. You are essentially paying for extra seat pitch (37/36" compared to 33"). Remember drinks aren't free, they are complimentory (you've paid for them as part of the package) and you get the upgraded IFE (£5 in economy for the premium films). It's a great experience, but personally, I think the economy cabin is more than adequate and I'd rather save the money and use it for trips or diving once in resort, or put it towards a nicer hotel and get the benefit for 2 weeks. That's just me though. You may find it's excellent value for money. The cabin crew are excellent and I'm sure you'll have great flights. If all you want is extra legroom though, then those seats may be a better option with the overwing exit seats giving more room than in premium. If you consider how many drinks you have on a flight, the cost of the extra IFE, and whether you need the extra 3kg or luggage allowance (some holidays come with that anyway), you can weight up the pros and cons and extra costs. Enjoy Cuba and the Guardalavaca /Holguin Province, it's a fabulous place.

I certainly did! It's not possible now though due to a change in regulation in 2008 which is a shame. What a flight it was, the Dak is such a graceful aircraft and the sound of the twin-wasps is unmistakeable. I posted a few photos shortly after the flight; Dakota Fairwell Tour 2008, Blackpool: Flying 1940's style. Some better quality ones here.
