There was no discount offered. The price was the same as theprice of the premium upgrade when we booked. It was either £369 or £365 per person, i can't remember exactley as I wasn't going to book the upgrade anyway and I was more interested in what they were saying about the dreamliner.
Hope this helps
Chris
Thanks, interesting it was over £100 more when i booked.

bugalug,
IFE for May / June is released at the beginning of May. I update the link on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) every 2 months when I get it. Your return flight will be the July / August listing that is released at the beginning of July.

Hi
My husband and I are due to fly from London Gatwick to Montego Bay on 27/04/13, we have booked premium sets. Our flight is Tom 24, its come to that time when we have to chose our seats, are they all the same in premium or are some better than other?
Thanks

Thanks Darren. I'll keep my eye out and follow on here for news on the Dreamliner.
Don't mind how I get there as long as its in comfort in the premium seats we bought.

susiey,
Your flights are operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). There are no 'best' seats as it's very much personal preference. It's really whatever you prefer, ie an isle, window or centre seat at the front or back of the cabin. All offer the same basic facilities so there are none that are any better than others. Bear in mind row 9 doesn't have a window and the toilets are located on the left of the aircraft so are more accessible from the A/B and C seats. Those at the other side of the aircraft have use of the toilets at the front of the economy cabin. The forward seats have a bulkhead in front that some don't like. I've included photos of seats on a link from our What Aircraft guide so you can see what to expect.

pers1978,
The aircraft should be positioning to MAN from BHX in the morning, expect G-OOAN unless their's a last minute change.
Have a great holiday

From the news today TUI plan to decide at the end of March whether to put in place a 'contigency' plan for May flights or whether things will run to plan. This is to accommodate familiarisation flights etc. From the first delivery the first long haul flight will be 2 months in front of that.
Thanks for the update. Going end June so keeping my fingers crossed
Thanks for the update. May flight all things crossed at moment lol
Latest information from Thomson Airways regarding the 787-8 deliveries;
"Thomson Airways has not yet been given a new delivery date for its first 787 Dreamliner by Boeing. Our priority is to ensure our customers go on their holidays and we are, therefore, putting contingency plans in place including using alternative aircraft for our long-haul flights to Mexico and Florida if delivery is delayed beyond the end of March. Boeing is doing everything it can to resolve the situation. We appreciate that there are many customers who are looking forward to flying on the Dreamliner but unfortunately these circumstances are out of our control. Once we have finalised our contingency plans we will contact customers whose flights may be affected."

Thanks Darren.
After booking my holiday last April for this Summer I am so looking forward to going to Mexico and now feel that as we long as we get there safely I dont mind if its a 767 ...... would be disappointed if I dont get premium cabin but at the end of the day safety if paramount. In all honesty anything has to be better than cattle class on Thomas Cook Long Haul Airbus..... worst cramped seats I have ever encountered and the IFE was rubbish as well. Thomsons Long Haul all the way in future no matter how much cheaper their holidays are.

I agree with this totally....i should still get my extra space seats which is fine by me. So many people on thomsons FB page are moaning.
I can't see any posts on FB now. Have they all been deleted?
Still plenty there. People wanting to cancel and get a full refund if they're not on a Dreamliner lol
Hi Darren
Please can you tell me whether BHX-SFB TOM630 12th May is ex FCA or ex Thomsonfly. Thanks.
