Jay Trip,
NCL-SSH-NCL (TOM224/5) should be operated by Boeing 757-200.

Anyone know at Gatwick North Terminal if there is a separate area for Day Before Check-in, & is there a dedicated check-in desk for PC passengers?
Thanks in advance,

gaz68; no dedicated desk for PC on day before check in -all eligible flights share the same check in.
Hi Gaz , if your flight departs before 12 midday you can use the day before check in from midday until 10pm , one person can do all the checking in as long as they have all the luggage , passports and tickets for all passengers flying on the same booking and can vouch for the luggage contents .
Once you all have your own boarding cards you can proceed straight to security on the day .l

Further to the above -we have used LGW night before check in maybe 8 or 9 times -always get there ~ 5:30pm -6pm -never had to queue more than a couple of minutes - Makes the following morning so much more relaxed

alboy29,
Details of flights operated by Boeing 787-8 are linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below). LGW-PUJ-LGW (TOM030/1) are operated by Boeing 767-300/ER. LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM078/9) are operated by Boeing 787-8. Aren't you better choosing the destination rather than the aircraft that will take you there?

I've just noticed that today's LGW-SID flight TOM782 is operating on a 737.
Would any of the experts on here know if the 737s are now replacing the 757s to Cape Verde? We've been a couple of times to Cape Verde (from Manchester) but always on a 757. We wanted to go again but found the 757s a bit uncomfortable compared to the 737.
I know you now have the option of extra legroom seating at the front but I wasn't keen on paying the upgrade.
I'd imagine the 737's have the range but I've read the runways at Cape Verde (particularly Boa Vista) are short meaning there may be a refuelling stop depending on the aircraft used.
I was curious as coming up to booking my next holiday and Cape Verde is on my list of possibilities.
Thanks in advance.

They can do it direct, the 737s are just for October, it happens most years(stared last year) when demand is lower and the 757's are having their scheduled maintenance prior to the winter. The middle cabin has comparable leg room to the 737's for no cost as a row was taken out of the middle too. I've not heard of many tech stops so far. Last year there were one or two on the inbound back to Manchester.
Thanks for the info

Have tried online to book seats in premium row 6 . The seat plan shows 6A,B,C with 6B unavailable. I contacted Thomsons who advised there are no 6B. When I tried to book 6A and 6C the site would not let me book them saying the seats had to be together. I then phoned and booked the seats over the phone with no problems. Has anybody else had this problem?
