HuddersfieldTourist,

There's not much more than I can add other than what I've already put on the link. The outer seats at the front of the economy club cabin, ie the ones you've been allocated, have 36" seat pitch. It doesn't matter about the others, you won't be sat in them!

No won't be this time but will be booking Dreamliner for later in the year but not til later and would have liked to have known for that reason alone as forewarned is best when ringing and seeing what they offer as still available.

Thanks

Hi, I have read lots of this info and it's great. I was wondering if you could help. We are flying to Mexico for the first time on TOM182 on Sunday 18th May 2014 from Manchester. I was wondering if you knew which plane this would be - we are due to book our extra space seat this weekend (90 days before) and I'm keen to get it right as it's for my husbands birthday. Thanks in advance for any help or hints and tips.

rebeccanoyce,

MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM182/3) are operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including seat plan, cabin, seat and aircraft photos. Row 20 are the roomiest seats in economy available at a supplement.

TMW9725,

The aircraft operating TOM050/1 normally comes in from Montego Bay, Jamaica (TOM018/9) on that rotation.

Hi Darren,

Any ideas what happened to the Dreamliner that was due to operate the service today? I checked the arrival from Montego Bay as above but it doesn't appear to have landed and the subsequent Punta Cana flight was delayed and is being operated by a 767 by the looks of it...?

Thanks,

Hi everyone,

This might sound a like a bit of a strange question seeing as though I was on the actual flight I'm asking about!

We returned from Punta Cana yesterday morning, flight no. TOM051, Dreamliner G-TUID. We were delayed just under 3hrs out of PUJ due to a technical fault (we were not told exactly what). Then just under an hour away from Gatwick the pilot announced that we'd developed a technical fault and couldn't land in Gatwick and that we were diverting to Stansted, where emergency services would be waiting (usual protocol for diverted aircraft with technical faults we were told). That was the last announcement that was made, apart from the chief cabin steward telling us to ensure we were fully secured in our seats and to ensure we knew where the nearest exits were (scary!).

We descended at high speed, landed safely with the aforementioned emergency services escorting us to the stand. But we never found out what exactly happened and there was no one from Thomson once we were in the airport. I won't bore you with the details of what happened next (needless to say we ended up in Gatwick 8 hrs late). I'm just really intrigued as to what the problem actually was!

Can anyone shed any light on this? I'll be emailing Thomson tomorrow.

That said, despite the above, the Dreamliner is superb!

Regards,

UKGuernseyCyprus,

Welcome onboard :tup
Inlight meals were pulled on short haul flights about 18 months ago due to lack of demand. As an alternative, snacks are available on some flights. Details are linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Thanks, Darren. If I fly with them I'll keep some spare cash on hand

UKGuernseyCyprus,

A cheaper alternative is to take your own or purchase it from the departure lounge. Bear in mind security restrictions, but there's nothing stopping you from taking your own sandwiches or snacks onboard.

Hi all
Has anyone used the new, it was released on the 18th Feb, online check-in I was told this had to be done prior to day of travel but cannot be prior to 14 days so if you have a 14 day plus holiday booked you cannot obtain your return boarding cards even the travel agent could not understand it and called Thomson who confirmed that we would have to obtain our passes whilst on holiday.

Hi Darren another quick question to you and all travellers who have had the dreamliner experience any good seat numbers to go for without paying the extra legroom/premium fees we are travelling as a 3 and would prefer window seats.

Many thanks

Shionhughes,

Have a look on the What Aircraft? guide and click on the link about seating on the 787-8. Seating is very much personal preference though. All rows apart from 37 have windows.

Hi Darren

MAN-PFO 26/3/14 TOM2316 ( Return 2/4/14 TOM2317 )

When I booked this holiday the aircraft was a 738.
Then it changed to a 752,so I booked extra leg room seats.
Now received an e-mail saying aircraft changed again and Thomson refunding my outbound payment as the aircraft has not got any extra leg room seats.

Can you please tell me what is now operating this flight.

Many Thanks

When you check in online you print both outbound and inbound passes at the same time.
