If I buy a ticket for Barcelona to Alicante, can I stop off on route and if so for how long?
Im thinking of flying to Barcelona and flying back form Alicante two weeks later, but want to stay in the Tarragona region for a few days before heading down to Alicante.

What kind of ticket? i am presuming you mean train, if so then i would not see a problem if you only paid between Barcelona to Tarragona, stayed however long then paid to continue your journey.

Slight change of plan.
What I now hope to do is a 10 day holiday. I want to spend about 3 days in Valencia then head up to Calafell for a week.
I hope that Calafell is as nice as it looks!
