Many thanks for the trip report, I loved reading it.

If you have time, and haven't done so already, perhaps you would like to post a review of the MGM and the Wynn in our Hotel Reviews section.

Thanks.

i have been to las vegas several times the strat tower is fine for budget accomadation but the sahara is the pits ,before you go use the internet and type in things to do in las vegas for free and you will see all the free shows, museums, cars in the imperial palace a whole floor of custom and celebertys cars, where to get the best value food and sometimes trips. dont buy drinks at the bar just play the slots even the 5c ones and the girls will bring you free cocktails always give them a small hanfull of coins as they depend on tips only works out at 50c or so and they will keep bringing drinks all the time you are there.for a treat check out LVL las vegas limosines the limo people they will pick you up at the airport in a stretch limo and take you to your hotel for a suprising low price and arrive in style its worth it ! they hope you book for days out so for them its a loss leader for us its a great way to arrive.look out for the free trip to lochland last time 2003 cost 5c for the phone call get picked up next morning by posh bus and get to see the strip as it pics up the other people at the hotels then a drive into the desert and around the hoover dam to lochland free lunch at the hotel play the slots free drinks and if you are lucky win 70dollers like i did then a nice drive back to vegas in twylight, at night go to the light show downtown as you look down freemont street you will see a big floodlit hotel at the end go in and up to the resteraunt and you can dine and watch the light show in style and then you can :cheers :cheers go to the strat tower observation floor and see a 360 view of las vegas at night all the lights of the strip so have fun like i did Adrian

Adrian,

Lochland = Laughlin.

Please don't think I am being a smarty pants by mentioning this as I am sure there are some people who would like to do this trip. Just for info it is now $5 per person and you get the buffet lunch at one of the casino's in Lauglin and of course all your transportation free of charge. I've heard mixed reviews about the place and personally I would prefer to limit my gambling to Las Vegas itself but it would make a nice day trip for those interested. At the end of the day it is just hotels and casinos but there is a nice riverwalk as well where you can do a boat cruise.

Jaqs,
Great trip report. Glad you liked the MGM, we are booked in there for our 2nd year on the trot in August. I appreciate what you mean about summer in Vegas but at least there is plenty of escape from the heat.
