I'd like to go somewhere with culture, sun and beaches in January for 2-3 weeks. Ideally I'd be able to trek about a bit relatively safely and still be able to chill out and get a tan. Last hol was Delhi-Agra-Goa-Maharastra by train-Mumbai so as you can tell I don't mind travelling about to see things. Happy to travel by train/bus when in holiday place. Most important thing is that it's not somewhere completely overrun with tourists - hard at xmas I know.
