Just replied to one of your other posts. I notice that you are a party of 8, including 5 kids. What sort of a holiday are you after?

There are no traditional style holiday resorts in the East of Turkey, although it is full of great history and archaeology.

Would suggest that you may have been wrongly advised.

If you can lat us know what you are after, I am sure someone will be able to advise you better.

If you are flying into Antalya....The entire coastline of Antalya ranging from the city of Antalya to Fethiye is a wonderful way to spend a vacation. All with spendid beaches. Here are some great places to visit south west from Antalya - Phaselis, Cirali, Myra, Kekova, Kas, Kalkan, Xanthos, Telmessos, Fethiye, Oludeniz, and Kayakoy.

I myself am a bit biased however because I have the opportunity to spend a lot of my time in the village of Cirali as well as the city of Antalya along with my 2 children as well.
Cirali is a very small rural village located about 1 hours drive from Antalya and boasts a beautiful secluded 4 km beach, the ruins of Olympos, the flames of the Chimeara, as well as a protected area by the WWF for the nesting of the Caretta sea turtles.

It is a wonderful place for families and the mature traveller and is one of the last remaining villages on the med. coast that has not been taken over by mass tourism. Unfortunately mass tourism has changed the faces of so many beautiful areas along the coast with the build up of so many resorts.

i would say try to keep to the south west coast aegean or med this is the tourist area have a look at my small download on my website for a small bit of the local area of fethiye
