will these ridiculous prices go down???

hi there, we're just back from 2 wks in Aquafantasy Hotel on Friday, what can i say apart from what a fantastic holiday!
anyway i have already been looking for next year, June again, but the prices are double what we paid, we paid £1853 for 2 wks, 2 adults & 3 children, it was a very good deal i know, but for next year same (ish) time, it comes out with FC at just under £4000 :yikes
we booked in January, do you think i'll have to wait till then, or is this what you would normally pay :( if so we won't be able to go.
please help & advise me if this is a normal price & we were just very lucky & booked at the right time.

i will be writing a full review when i get all the holiday washing done :rofl & have the time.

I have found that the prices have risen sharply for next year.
We paid £2300 for our ai holiday this year but for next year we couldnt find anything for under £3000 for august so we have booked the holiday village for £3088 which has since gone up

ive also noticed big increases in prices next year, the holiday we went on this year for the same 2 weeks has gone up £700, although we werent going to go back i just priced it up to see. i think with cost of living going up and now holiday prices there might be more last min bargains next summer as people wont be able to afford holidays with all these increases, in food, electricity, gas, petrol etc and now holidays :duh
we havent booked anything yet, as even the bargain flights we got for this year at £75 are a lot more for next grrr !!!

i think i've been really lucky then!!

we've booked to go back to kocer 31 july 09 and we have paid less than it cost us to go last year! think we hit it at just the right time!!

hi there, can you tell me where you got your bargain flights from please. i have paid £398 inc taxes for 2 adults for sept 08 into bodrum flying with onur air.

would love to find a cheapy flight for net year.

tofwig we got them with aegean flights but booked them june07 for aug 08 and they were released at £70 increasing in price quickly, they didnt start this low june 08 for next year so i havent bought any as i think there will be more late deals next year

I booked my flights with aegean on 3rd June 2008 for next year they were £125 each, last yeasr we paid £101 so they have not gone up that much a couple of days later i went on the site and they had gone up to £350 each glad i booked them now :)

sue thats nearly double the price they started last year,from £70 to £125, although still good at £125, unfortunately this year i was on holiday til the 9th june and when i priced them then they were around £200- £250 depending on dates so thats a big jump in 6 days, now last year my friend booked in aug that was 2 mths after me and she paid £108, not sure why the increases were so quick this year :duh

I heard something on the radio today that there is a move in the EEC to surcharge ALL flights [similar to what the uk dose] by around 50 euro each flight [100 on a return] they apaerntly hope to start next year

I have not booked anyhing yet for next year and agree the prices have gone up quite a bit. Waiting for Easyjet prices to come out in December for flights. May well try and get a late deal also.

I also must have been really lucky for next year. Booked 2 weeks in august 09, 2 adults 2 children half board for £1400.00 - which is a great price compared to other silly prices we were getting. :tup

I booked 2009 flights the day they came out on 3rd June 2009 as i paid £101 last year i still thought paying £125 this year was not to bad considering 1st choice and thomas cook are around £300, i must have been a late booker last year as i didnt see any flights for £70, still quite please with the price :)

No Foxymum the prices have definately gone up I'm afraid. I usually book 12 months in advance and booked Aqua Fantasy last June through Eclipse costing £2500 for 6 of us which was a great price - now, for the same period next year it's just under £5000!!! One of the reasons is because Eclipse will be no more and The Aquafantasy is only sold through First Choice, who are the high stree version of Eclipse :( It'll only cost us £4200 to go back to Lykia, and although we really enjoyed Aqua, Lykia certainly has the luxury edge, especially with the food, so that's a strong contender for next year at the moment.

just got my receipt for our last minuet jaunt to Side flying Friday 3sun all inc £608 for the two of us..not a bad price as things are at the moment

We just paid £366 per person for a week HB in Gumbet with TC.

In 2006, we paid £110 less for the same.
