Arrived full of hope, was disappointed from the outset having to wait in queues with around another 500 people for our key, then join a free for all as parking near the accommodation was minimal and it too many journeys to and from the car to unpack.

We have just returned from a sun holiday at Pontins, Brean Sands. I would not recommend this site to anybody who likes cleanliness, we left feeling dirty. The rooms are extremely dated, dirty, stained etc etc etc...
The Blue Coats try there best but are not as good as Butlins Red Coats. The host in the Vic pub even takes the mickey out of the accommodation, or should I say sheds (his words, not mine) !
The food in the restaurant is of a very low standard, the drinks are a little on the expensive side, as is the food.
We will not return to Pontins again, we will opt for Butlins or Haven, I would rather pay a few pounds more and feel clean and happy!

stayed at pontins brean sands for a 3 night break booked with my hubby and grandson who is almost 2 yrs old...well where do i start on arrival we didn,t know where we would be put so walked around looking at chalets while we waited to get keys..i was appalled by the chalets on display there were dirty and stained pillows on view in windows for all to see,we took our own bedding thank god! when i asked the leaner where the budget rooms are she told us where they were and then to our surprise she said they were very dated and not nice and needs demolishing that was there staff..when we got our keys we were dreading it i opened the door and the smell knocks you back it was horrible the carpets were so dirty i wouldn,t take my shoes off,the bed settee was so badly stained i covered it with an extra duvet i took down wasn,t sure if we would catch anything,,the chalet was so so cold we both slept with our clothes on 2 cold to get undressed....the kitchen was filthy stained worktops so horrible...the shower pointed over the toilet so we couldn,t use it...on Saturday after returning after a long day out we walked into the bathroom to be flooded by upstairs when we phoned the maintenance man he told us it was just condensation as the chalets were so damp my hubby was amazed we showed him it was dripping from the ceiling but he said no thats condensation we were told put our heating on!!the windows well every window was soaking wet covered in black mould and inside the sealed unit of the glass was things growing in them believe it thats true and rusty thats how damp they were i had to send my grandson home Friday night as my son was working near by no way could he stay there being asthmatic.we took photos of everywhere and now are currently suing them

dirty seemed like lack of leadership. expensive electric.
we were told no reserving of seats new years eve only to discover nearly 200 people queueing up at 7.30am waiting to reserve seats, taking not only there own decorations but food and drink something we were told would not be allowed.

We came to Pontins for the darts in june 08, it was awsome so we went back for new year!
we have been going for a couple of years after Butlins was too expensive! lol Pontins is the best though better than butlins,
the rooms were filthy so we kept our shoes on and slep in our own bedding as we knew from the previous experiences but it never stopped us from going again. we knew we would be 'slumming it' but we love it!
we have booked again for june 09 and new year 09/10 lol
Pontins is the best, the bluecoats try very hard to entertain children and adults working all hours of the day and NIGHT!
See you all soon, Cant fricken wait!

Pontins Brean Sands is aterrible place to stay.
Its dirty, tiny rooms, bad sound proofing, broken furniture.
The entertainment is bad, the swimming pool is dirty.
DO NOT STAY THERE!

The chalet we stayed in was upgraded from budget to classic but I dont call the chalet classic.
As soon as we arrived we wanted just to sit down and relax after driving for 4 hours but when I saw the chalet that we were staying in I thought oh no,I prefer to sleep in the car.
The patio doors were filthy,then when we got inside the curtains were not on properly ,the carpet was dirty and the chairs around the table were dirty and looked as if they were from a school,I actually wiped everything down myself before attempting to sit down.
The cooker had a bit of rust around it.The bedroom was smelling musty even though it was a hot day.Then came the pullout bed,oh no never again,it was very uncomfy and you could feel the springs.
Also I brought my own covers and duvet,would not use theirs even though they were provided and keep socks or slippers on at all times as the floors are dirty.
The overall opinion of the chalet is very poor,needs modernising and more cleaning and hygiene standards.It was a cheap sun holiday so didnt complain but I feel sorry for peole who pay the full price.
Entertainment for kids is great,staff friendly but its a shame the chalets let them down as the park is really nice.
No I would not go to Pontins again,once is enough.

The chalets are awful!!
The smell of damp is overpowering, rooms are very basic and dirty!!
The beds and sofas are all damp.
The location is ok if you have a car its a lovely area of the uk its just a same is ruined by this excuse of a holiday resort.
Would never go back.

The chalets were appalling and freezing cold. The small electric heaters were expensive to run especially as you have to purchase electric tokens from reception. Bedrooms were damp smelling, carpets and sofas were sticky. Our bathroom had a half sized bath and a shower that barely worked.
Entertainment in the evenings was very good however but drinks from the bar very expensive.
Food in restaurant was average but the staff were slow to clear the tables. We ate daily in alovely restaurant further down the road from the Pontins site.
Also use of swimming pool was limited due to overcrowding. We would not go back again.

We upgraded to classic. From what I can see the only difference from budget was that we had PVC windows. Sofa bed in living was broken so it tipped. I complained & they brought a plastic mattress which we put on the floor. Bedding was ripped, this was replaced & pillow case dirty.
The worst thing was the smell. When we arrived the windows were open. We soon found out why. The bathroom smelt of damp.
Very very basic accommodation.
The decoration looks like it has been done by a child. Paint job terrible. No investment in furniture. Chipboard with rips. Looked like a basic 50's chalet which has had a few layers of paint. Far too small.
