Booked some cheap flights into Treviso from Ryanair to go end of September/beginning of October and after some searching found San Lio Tourist House that has just 6 rooms at a very reasonable rate of 420 euros for 3 night stay ..but if paying by cash this is reduced to 395euros (but when we arrived we were let off another 5) No breakfast is included but the position of San Lio was tremendous! Literally 2minutes, if that, from Rialto Bridge and 10 minutes walk through to St Marks Square. Considering Venice is still classed as high season at this time too, the price for the room was excellent value.
Although a little on the small side, not all the rooms are this size - the one opposite was treble the size and had 4 large windows. The manager did apologise - and say that it was a small room when we arrived. Bruno room, which we had, is very small...double bed, air con, tv, narrow table with fridge underneath, compact shower/wc and handsink - but prestine condition. There were no windows in this room but we did have french doors that opened onto its own terrace.
The staff were incredibly friendly. You could change money (even sterling), there was a free private boat trip over to Murano (but if you buy the 3 day vaporetto pass you can go whenever you want),free admission to the Casino plus a free drink to.
We would certainly use San Lio Tourist House when we next go.
