Booked direct via hotel website as price was keen, a deluxe double. Check in smooth enough, we had garaunteed checkout till 3pm, we asked if this could be extended till 4 as this would fit in well with our evening flight back to UK, but they wouldn't.
Room a bit dated, carpets badly stained. Bathroom small and dated and a bit of mould here and there. Paper coming off the wall in corridors so not giving a great impression. Could hear a lot of noise from the room next door. Glad we were only there for the one night and we we were out and about most of the time.
Feels more like a three than a four or five star hotel based on the rooms we were given. What dealings we had with the staff did not inspire.
Well located for Bukit Bintang, we mooched around Sungei Wang and Times Square which are both nearby and used adjacent monorail station to head off to a restaurant at Asian Heritage Row.

This time we decided to stay in Orchid club rooms which are situated on the 3rd to 6th floors and are accessed by a seperate bubble lift. The rooms have recently been renovated with the bathrooms being greatly improved. The bonus of the orchid club rooms is access to the club lounge where they serve breakfast and have snacks out for general consumption all day for no charge, also all alcohol is free from 1730 until 1900 daily. We found that most days there was enough free food available to cover all meals. The staff were very attentive and could not be faulted. whilst the rest of the hotel is definately 4 star the club rooms are 5star

The Gran Plaza Park Royal is all about location it is in the Bukit Bintang area right across the road from Sungai Wang shopping centre from which you can buy any thing and always provides the best deals in Kuala lumpur. The hotel has recently been refurbished so looks new, with large rooms (we booked deluxe rooms)the only downside being the shower is in the bath.The majority of staff were very helpful especially when sorting out a booking problem we had which was caused by Kuoni. This hotel also has a reasonable big pool when compared with some of the other 4 or 5 star hotels I have stayed at in KL.This is the 2nd time in 2 years we have used this hotel because it is of very good quality for the price it is being presented in the holiday brochures (around
