My wife and I stayed at Hotel Delta for seven nights the first week in September 2014.

The negatives first.

Location very quiet, three or four hotels nearby there is a small shopping centre with three or four resturants. Not much to choose from.

There is no beach the sea is about a 25 minute walk with quite a steep road going to and from the sea front. At the bottom of the hill is a restaurant with a pool but walking back up in the heat of the day is a bit too much. Get a taxi or hire something.

We stayed in a pool view room, quite noisey at night up to 1am or so. Thing is as there is no aircon and it was very warm at night we had to sleep with the door open which resulted in no sleep till gone 2am also the beds were not overly comfortable.

The positives.

Friendly staff, Nice grounds, good food with plenty of choice (buffet).

Mini golf, tennis, 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor, gymn, entertainment for kids during the day and night for adults and kids. Decent bus service to Palm (2.90 euro each, each way) the next resort from Maioris is S Arenal wich is about a 20 mins bus ride (1.50 euro each way) or there was always a taxi or 2 outside the hotel.

We would stay here again but a week’s long enough.

Awful, really awful.

My wife and I went for 5 nights. We are in our 60's, fit, active and experienced travellers. This was our worst ever hotel experience.

The Beach Club was closed, does not belong to the hotel anyway and, there is no beach nearby, only steep rocky shore. They do not provide the advertised shuttle bus service. Sheets not changed for days. They served Goat for 2 meals and sliced Frankfurters in onion gravy for another. The list goes on.

Faulty Towers without the humour. Horribly un-friendly.

The hotel is well established, and rooms are quite large with well equiped bathroom. The grounds the hotel is set in are beautiful with established trees, shrubs etc conducive to a very relaxing atmosphere. There is also crazy golf and several tennis courts within the garden areas. We were also impressed with the cleanliness throughout.

There is a large main bar area opening onto the pool terrace which is very comfortable.

The food was very good (all three main meals) with plenty of choice.

We found June to be very quiet indeed, which suited us down to the ground. There was never more than half a dozen guests around either pool area all day! There was a very large party of elderly Israeli guests, but they all seemed to disappear all day making the hotel seem almost empty.
Snacks and drinks were available from the pool bar or main bar although a small suplement is payable for items such as hot dogs. The all inclusive package includes drinks, tea, coffee, rolls, cakes and ice creams during the day. Some items in the room mini bar are also "free" including beer and water which is a great bonus.
There is also an animation team who look after entertaining the kids (all four of them!!)and those guys are great.
If you want peace and quite this is for you. If you want rowdy forget it!

Just returned from 3 night's at this hotel "Delta Hotel" Cabo Blanco, We were All Inclusive,
It is a very large hotel with nothing going on, if you wish to play tennis or go cycling this is the place for you, If you want a very quiet sun worshiping break then again go for it.
Other than the above read some reviews like I did.

There is nothing going on, we were well aware from the reviews we previously read that there was very little going on within the area surrounding the hotel, but there is nothing going on in the hotel either, No entertainment during the day or at night no trips, no tours.. you can't even buy a packet of cigarettes or a newspaper without walking a few 100 meters to a Cafe and a shop,

There is nothing at the beach club except a towel and 1 free? drink for your 6 euro's, although the view is excelent. no beach either just a very steep embankment to traverse down to a rocky shoreline.
Having said that the rooms are very clean and bright.
Staff are helpfull
General areas are O.K.
Food is help yourself buffet style......same dishes at linch and dinner ( exactly the same ).
Breakfast stops at 10AM so if you miss it there is nothing for you to eat until 1PM. Just coffee and some rubber rolls in a carousel in the bar area slowly spinning round.

Not children friendly you can not warm a bottle or access the pools in a pram without carrying it up quite a few stairs, No handrails on any stairs at all either inside the hotel or outside.
If you have a late return flight ( like we did ) you will have to vacate the room before noon, also all inclusive stops when you check out ( at noon ) so if you want a coffee you will need to buy one. We went for a walk to buy a paper and some diet Coke and sat by the pool area waiting to go to the airport, They don't like you bringing your own food or drink to the hotel and I was reminded of this rule in a plesant but firm way by one of the staff. they never took if off me but I got a lot of TuT's from staff.

I would not say this was a bad hotel it just needs a bit of spit and polish to make it better, some entertainment would help there are a lot of areas that they need to improve, and a lot of customers would return, Alas not me!,....

My wife and I work full time and were very tired as our daughter had just married and we needed a serious R & R break .
We chose the Delta Hotel off Freedom Direct's web site and booked it as a late deal despite being unable to find any comments on the hotel on any review sites .I thought that it must be a German run hotel and all the reviews were in German but we thought that they would not put up with any rubbish anyway so what the hell !

We spent two weeks at the Delta on All Inclusive and this is what we think !

We have done twenty All Inclusive holidays in the past but this was one of the best .
The hotel is only about 16 km from Palma Airport and the taxi only takes 20 mins c 30 Euro .
It was built in c 1978 so has all the good points like large bedrooms and balconies but , of course , has been refurbished a lot since then .

The hotel is a bit of an odd ball which would definitely not suit everyone . It is built about 1 km from the sea in an old pine forest which is being cut down and developed as an upper class villa / appartment area .
There is very little around the hotel . The hotel shop is small and not open on Sundays although 300 m to the right out of the hotel is a new commercial centre with a small supermarket etc ..

There is a lot of new building around the hotel such as villas and medium high rise . I think by summer 2008 these would be finished .
However , I think the hotel was really great and definitely 4 *.

All the drinks on A I were the best brands with waiter service and instant service . If you want to really hit the high spots some really top brand drinks ( Remy etc ) had to be paid for but at a big reduction .

The food was all buffet style but was really good .
Thre is a separate venue called the Argos which you can book on AI and is excellent .

The entertainment was really good . There were different shows every night with excellent acts which is an amazing difference from the normal Animation rubbish .( We took our portable DVD player but brought three films home unwatched ) .

The " Beach Bar " is a swimming pool about 1 km from the hotel with fun and games a bar and food but there is no beach only a rocky cove . There is a regular free bus and the AI includes the beach bar .

Right outside the hotel is a very good and cheap bus service to Palma and beyond and to Aqualand etc ..

The most amazing thing for me was that with the mix of Spanish / few German and English and some Italians nobody ever competed for the sunbeds . At 9.30 no sunbeds had been booked and by 10.00 90 % were still available .On the day we left , at 10 am there was nobody in the pool and I have a photo to prove it .

One note of caution , there are a lot of steps and no lift to to upper pool . If you are happy with chilling around a small pool OK .Otherwise you need to hike .

Overall , I would really recommend this hotel to anyone needing to die in the sun .
Incidentally , the cleaners were also very helpful with towels etc ..
We had a great visit .
