Lovely big hotel and pool, and spotless throughout. Food wise there was something to suit everyone with pizzas and burgers available at the pool snack bar and a good selection of food in the restaurant, that included a separate food bar for kids - although adults could have stuff off it too.

The location meant that if you wanted to go to bars in the evening you had to get a taxi (but being all-inclusive you tend not to anyway), but there was a free return bus into Palma Nova from the hotel every half hour during the day - where the beach was great and plenty of shops and restaurants.

The entertainment was manily aimed at the kids, which suited us fine, as it meant our 3 year old wasn't bored in the evening - while we sat and had a few drinks in the bar he spent an hour at the mini disco (in the same room as the bar)

There isn't any need to leave the hotel unless you like shopping and going out for the odd evening out - which we do and so we did, as we wanted to go into Palma shopping and also ate out 1 evening. We spent a bit on taxis - but if you are happy to stay in the hotel for all your food and drink then you dont have to spend a penny. An ideal hotel for families.

We, a family of four sharing twin rooms next to each other, stayed in the Belvedere during 8th and 15th of April 2006.

The Hotel had just reopened after the winter closure period and all gardens, patios, interior etc was neat and spotless. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily and if you leave your used towels on the floor, they are replaced daily.

The food was buffet style, eat as much as you like. It was beautifully presented and colourful. The dishes were of a very high standard and although the menu was rotated, it could get a bit samey if you went for chips each time! Personally, I loved the salad and fresh fruit and there was a plentiful supply of dietry foods, kiddies foods and good old blow out type foods!

There are snacks by the pool, consisting of fresh baked pizza, hamburgers, chips, toasted sandwiches etc. And the pool is another story! Absolutely huge with great variations in depth! However, at peak times you need to queue and you can only collect two meals per person or three drinks per adult, so it needs two people each time for a family of four.

The drinks are great and free flowing, however, no cocktails will be served to All Inclusive customers...So we just asked you pineapple and coconut (Pina Collada) and got what we wanted!

The location is qiute in a secluded area. However, if you choose to walk down to the town/village of San Agustin...Be warned............There are no pavements and although it is only 50 yards or so, it is walked with your life in your hands!!! Not for the faint hearted! And then there is the decent into San Agustin...stone steps, hundreds of them!!! Going down is the easy part, coming back is cruel!!! A taxi can be caught for 4.50 Euros (expensive)But you are rather a captive audience by then!
The hotel staff are friendly and very talented, speaking many different langauges fluently!

I enjoyed my visit here. My one major complaint is the utter Woefully inadequate lift situation. Three lifts, each capably of taking 450 kg or in thier eyes, 6 people each. However, it would only take three of our party at a time ( we are all over 12 stones)and would simply refuse to budge if it was overloaded! And this is in a hotel where up to 1000 or beyond people can stay at any one time!

At meals times you could wait up to 10 minutes to use the lifts or face a nine floor climb!

The hotel was spot on no matter what time a day it was you would always see a cleaner mopping or dusting.

The food was great it was always hot looked and tasted good the only downside is the resturant only holds 400 so in peak season expect to que for a table.

You get plenty of room outside big pool loads of sunbeds a small park for the kids. fresh pizza made while you wait
the location was my only fault it was just to far out they do put a free bus on which goes to Palma Nova every half hour but last bus back is 18.15 the staff never smile they do there job and that is it.

The entertainment team do a good job they never stop
I would not think twice about going back to this hotel if they moved it to Palma Novabut until then - no chance.

Returned from yet another wonderful stay at the Belvedere!

Staff, food, entertainers etc cant fault them at all only the main snack bar and pizza place open due to beginning of season but loads of choices infact a lot more than last year.

No need to go in to restaurant daytime at all unless to eat all those gorgeous puddings.

Had no problem getting cocktails at all if wanted. Definately no charge at all also aftershocks by the half pint if you wanted!

Will be back next year as usual

We have just come home from a weeks stay in the Belvedere hotel, We had an early morning Flight and after getting up at 3.45pm couldn't wait to get settled into our room - on arrival to the hotel at 11.30ish we were told our room would not be ready untill 2pm! We could not even collect our all inclusive wrist bands untill allocated our room...

However we were called on the tanoy at 1pm and told our room was now ready.

Our room was 701 on the 7th floor, located right next to lifts and stairs! - Our room was very clean and plenty of room for the two of us.

We had three nights no sleep untill 4am with people shouting and banging doors others had said they had the same problem but on a group of lads leaving it became much quieter!

The hotel overall was very clean and tidy,& clean towels every day.

The food started off very good all buffet style but became very much the same after a couple of days.Myself I did not enjoy the breakfast but my husband did. Most days the meat was pork or lamb chops/and chicken fillets.I prefered the lunch time options.

The hotel location was not brilliant, yes you could walk down 200 steps or more and a dangerous road with no pavement! to cala major but I found it very difficult getting back to the hotel(as I have asthma)so not ideal for the less mobile. We had found a nice little beach in between some hotels whilst there.

We took the free bus most days into palma nova, this area was lovely and flat! Lots of shops and resturants a great sandy beach and a Mcdonalds.

We took a trip on the submarine vision boat which we both enjoyed lots although was crampped at the bottom and so only got to see 1 fish!! but the trip was great it lasted 2 hours for 13euros each.

The free bus was a great idea but did not run late enough in the evening and was very full most of the time.No point in queueing for the bus either because the germans would just push past you and get on infront of you! They wouldn't even wait for the people to get off the bus and they were the same with the lifts just jump in infront of you. Which as mentioned before would not budge with 4 normal sized people in,the situation sometimes became a nightmare.

Whilst in palma nova if you turn right and walk along for about 10 mins you are in magaluf a total different area and very British...

All british bars, cafes with english meals and english Tea..Although quite roudy and loud if you are looking for action this is the area to be.

The free bus also takes you to marine land which although small the dolphin show was great.
We would also catch the last free bus into palma nova and get a taxi home which cost 10/12 euros.
There is a bus stop outside to Palma which has big expensive shops that cost 1.20euros each.

We didnt have much to do with the staff at the hotel but some were quite miserable! The inside bar staff were great. The entertainments team were very bubbly too but we did not watch much and unless there early you would not get a table.

We also took the island tour with a tour company in palma nova which saved us 30euros than if we had gone with first choice.
We would not visit this hotel again it was very much run by the germans...And a bit far out but would stay in palma nova.
We did enjoy our holiday though and the weather was great...

I had spent months reading the reports from other residents of this hotel and to be honest was not looking forward to our visit.

I need not have worried. We arrived at the hotel 15 minutes after leaving the airport and were the first to be dropped off from the coach.

The hotel looked lovely it was clean, spacious, airy with a huge blue pool with palm trees surrounding it there were lots of grassed areas and flowers.

It was set in an area surrounded by trees and nothing like the built up areas of Palma Nova and there are houses next door but only on on the front and you cant see them from the hotel.

The staff at reception were very helpful giving us clear instructions on how to get to our room.

There are three lifts from the main entrance which take you to each floor. The room we were allocated had twin beds, a set of bunk beds and a balcony which looked out over the pool.

The bathroom was spotless and very modern. During our stay we had clean towels everyday and our sheets changed twice. The maid service was excellent.

The dining room offered lots of choice, including plenty of healthy options and a separate children's area all offering meals in a buffet style.

The food I felt was very good and I had no complaints. At other times you could eat at the poolside bar, the BBQ or the pizza area.

The drinks were very cold and the coffee was lovely especially with "Baileys" in it. The pool area was huge with loads of sunbeds so no need to leave your towel on the bed at 6a.m.

Our son who is 7 had an absolute ball. The kids pool is completely separate from the larger, deeper pool. The kids area with the kids pool, is in the shade with a huge hut where there are organised activities most of the day there is also a play park with climbing frames, a chute and some other things.

The entertainment staff speak all languages I heard the mail entertainer speak at least 5. They worked really hard all day and night organising both kids and adult entertainment. At night the entertainment was again organised by these four young people and most nights in was absolutely hilarious.

Yes the bingo takes an hour to play one game but I have never laughed so much and during it there is plenty audience participation.

The location of the hotel may be the only small down side to this hotel but we knew this as it clearly states it in the brochure.

The nearest shop a Spar is less than 100m from the hotel and sells everything you could need. Cala Major has more shops and restaurants and yes it is 200 steps down and back, but the hotel offers a free coach into Palma Nova and Magaluf the journey takes about 15 minutes.

We got the coach just after breakfast wandered round Palma Nova and returned to the hotel just after lunch. If we felt like it we would hop on the coach in the afternoon and go back to the beach.

Lots of comments state that the staff are not friendly we did not find this we found that all the staff at the hotel could speak and understand English, French, Italian and German.

We feel that what other people are speaking about is simply a language thing. How many languages can we speak?
We had a great holiday even when it rained for 3 days and as far as value for money (we were

The hotel itself is lovely and spotless.

The hotel food was ok nothing special but you could aways find something to eat, although the temperature of it should have been hotter.

We found 30% of the staff to be very unfriendly and rude, which made us all want to forget our manners and be rude back, but wouldn't as we weren't brought up that way. Having said that it didn't spoil my holiday. But the Germans could have.

Just returned from the Belvedere I would highly recommend this hotel if you are after a relaxing family holiday.

The Hotel is situated just outside Cala Major the road outside the hotel isnt as bad as previously stated even though there are not any pavements.

The hotel it self is spotlessly clean with towels changed every other day or every day if you wish and bed clothes every 3 days. The food caters for every taste there are several places to get food from all throughout the day.

All the staff work very long hours and extremely hard. I dont think that some of the reports does the hotel justice.

I would definitely go back to the Belvedere.

Just got back from the Belvedere and I found it to be the way most of the other reports said it would be, except the entertainment which I found to be appauling.

If you can understand Spanish,Italian, German or French then you will enjoy your time here.

Most of the british holiday makers decided to make their own entertainment by the side of the pool. In fact there was more people outside than inside.

Unless somebody put a gun to my head and forced me to go then I wont go back. Each to their own I guess.

Just got back from a 2 week holiday at the Belvedere and can thoroughly say it was brill!

Food is excellent with plenty of choice. I am a really fussy eater and I found something everyday to eat and thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Pool is really big with lots of sunbeds so you don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to get one, also lifeguard round pool all day.

Mini Club for kids was also really good and they kept kids well entertained. The Animation Team do an excellent job and their evening entertainment was really good for a laugh. Although it is multi national they always explain things in english first and get everyone involved.

The road into Cala Major is a bit dodgy but if your're careful it's ok. Courtesy Bus is great to Palma Nova as it leaves hotel every half an hour.

Some of the staff seem a bit grumpy but if you make the effort they are lovely. Francisco always seems to have a smile. Snack Bars round pool are excellent with different choices most days and all food was great. Would definitely go back in the near future. Only critiscism I would make is that it definitely needs air conditioning during the summer as it was too hot too sleep some nights. The ceiling fan didn't seem to make a lot of difference. Other than this a fab holiday.

We wondered what we had booked by reading some of the reviews before we went but I can honestly say none of the bad ones that we had read rang true for us in our 2 week stay. Go and judge for yourself.
