We have just returned from two weeks at Holiday Village Viva. We went all-inclusive, the food was good quality, although it did get a bit repetitive after 2 weeks. The poolside snack bar was handy if you didn

just got back from a week at the viva. Lovely hotel with great facilities.
If you have kids then this place is perfect. Rooms large and clean, pools great (we didnt find them too cold). Food was good for all inclusive. Bar staff were great and the drink quality was good too.
Entertainment for kids during the day was great.
Evening entertainment team worked hard but the quality was poor. Comedian on our first night (american guy) was great and thought we were in for a week of great entertainment but that was the best night. During the week we had one night of Brazilian dancers then another night of African dancers, very talented but one of those 'seen it all before moments'.

staff very efficent and friendly

Overall a great place with very few complaints, would definately go again.

The not so good first.....
The all inclusive food was good variety although the Caribbean and Italian restaurants were poor food and we didn't bother to use them in second week.It is the first time that we have seen soup with oil floating in it! We actually saw a family get up and leave their whole meal in the Caribbean. We ate out a few times in the town and there is plenty of choice there.Don,t have ice in your drinks as they put in three big pieces, leaving only enough room for a couple of mouthfuls of drink. Even paying self catering coustomers were getting small measures until they got wise to it.
Rooms got cleaned 5 times a week. We didn,t book any trips out as the location of the hotel is out of the way from 'Pirates 'trip etc.and it was very expensive to go.We hired a car in town and went to various sight seeing locations, this broke the monotony of getting up each day and doing the same thing. You need to be around the pool by 8am to claim you sunbed spot for the day. The get unlocked at 8.30am and people just stand aroung waiting till then. All the beds are claimed by 9am and could be left with towels on all day and nothing is done about it with some people having to sit on the grass instead. Our friends saw a family pass four beds over on to their balcony late one evening!
For the cost of the holiday, the entertainment was poor. There was a couple of good acts on which included African dancers and an American comedian, however on most nights it was run solely by the Reps and while they worked really hard, a lot of people said that there should have been different acts on every night. There was bingo on every night which had good amounts of money to be won (up to approx

Our first all-inclusive holiday and we chose this hotel because of the short flight and overall facilities offered. We rented 2 apartments.
We felt that overall the hotel looked very clean and was well maintained. The rooms were cleaned 5 times per week but always had a musty smell to them. (Just look under the bed and you will spot the areas they miss!) We bought our own cleaning fluids etc just so we could have a bit of a citrus zing in the apartments!
The staff were courteous and efficient. Being an all-inclusive I guess it is inevitable that the hotel loses its panache - drinks served in a very sloppy fashion by staff already looking at the next in line. Just felt it lacked the personal service that we have experienced on other holidays. Realise that is not the fault of the staff. Entertainment was just dull I'm afraid. The team worked hard but everyone we spoke to shared the same opinion. The staff were out of their depth. This hotel desperately needs more professional shows. The comedian was excellent, even the parrot show but night after night of second rate cabaret just didn't do it for us. Sorry guys.
The food on offer was about what we expected so we weren't too disappointed there. Contrary to some other reports we enjoyed our meal in the Caribbean Grill and he food in the Italian was fine too. The large buffet restaurant is fine with lots of choice but did feel like an enormous works canteen, but well managed all the same. The wine was dreadful though!
Activities for kids pretty good but ours spent the majority of time in the pool. The apparent downside of this would appear to be that all the family bar one picked up a nasty stomach bug in the first week. Our 2 youngest children are still suffering 10 days after our return. I am not in a position to say too much more at this stage but can only say the matter does not end there and for this reason we would be concerned about visiting this hotel again at the current time.

The hotel was clean and tidy with rooms cleaned 5 out of the 7 days. The staff and entertainment team were 1st class. We were SC so cant comment on the onsite food but talking to others that were AI we were told that we weren't missing anything.
The location is far back from the beach, a nice 200m walk which i liked but it meant there were no "sea view balconies"but it also meant at 11.30pm it was very quiet and sleeping was easy regardless of your childs age.
All staff were very helpful and spoke English.
The entertainment team were brill and worked very hard.We were there for two weeks and enjoyed every minute. The only thing that could've made our holiday better was the weather so we can't complain.
Our thanks to the team of entertainers,Polly,Kelly,Melanie,Jack,Kai and the DJ Craig, you guys made a good holiday brilliant.

We have just retuned from the holiday village viva and had a fantastic time. First holiday abroad with grandchildren and already looking to book for next year. Hotel very clean and staff very friendly. Food was excellent and believe me we are a fussy lot!

Really impressed with swimming pools kids loved them. Main pool very safe as same level throughout 1mtr.deeper pool if you need it. Sunbed situation was OK when we arrived but on our second week they were chaining sunbeds up until 8.30 so people seemed to go down and reserve parasol with towels.

The fact is if you want a certain spot then you need to be early but quite frankly there were beds still available at 11 in morning. Situation will probably get worse as we hit school hols.

There are plenty of grassed areas where you can sit or lay so its not worth worrying about.

Entertainment OK typical of this type of hol kids enjoyed it and bingo is well worth a go 350eur for full house sadly did not win.

Drinks were plentiful and no limits and short queues very good! Apartment was great 2 showers 2 patio doors onto balcony small kitchen kettle toaster microwave bottle of water in fridge on arrival.

The hotel was big with am impressive entrance, set out in smaller blocks many of whom had good views, our apartment was far end of the pool on ground floor with a view of the little pond which was nice and peasceful. Room very clean and large, though it did smell musty and was noisy in the nights as people constantly walking past front door to get to other sections of the hotel. But we were away from the main entertainment area so that meant not so noisy in some respects, was a few mins walk to all the facilities and we found the facilities to be pretty good. Kids clubs (though our kids didnt want to go more than once) and there was a very a safe park onsite that they loved. The outdoor pools were good but the water was freezing so they didn't go in more than once or twice, the baby pool was warmer as shallower but it was tiny so only a few kids could fit. The onsite shop was good enough and the bars also good with fast service but was difficult to get seats later on most evenings as people were saving them for friends etc, was actually far easier to get a sunbed by the pool (though not a parasol, they were like gold dust)! Food was good lots of choice though diving in and having a bit of everything meant that after 3 days it did get samey. The service was great though, staff very efficient and always flitting about cleaning up etc, in fact you could hardly finish your meal before the plate was whipped away. The indoor pool would have been good (though it smelt very chemically) had it not been for constant swimming lessons where they cordoned off 3 quarters of the pool (why one or two toddlers require so much space to learn is beyond me?) and left everyone else with a postage sized portion to 'swim' in, the hot tub was nice but again was very small. We used the laundry facilities but that was an experience with only 2 washers and 2 dryers there was constantly queues. We didn't really sample the evening entertainment as my son didn't like the crowds of kids and the noise, we sat outside most nights or had a walk down to the shops and beach which was a 10 min walk downhill. We enjoyed the crazy golf onsite and would have had a go at the climbing had we not left it to last minute. Weather was pretty good one day of thunder lightning and torrential rain but good rest of time. We probably wouldnt go back as we like to go to different places but I would recommend the complex to families as it was pretty family friendly clean and tidy.

we thought this hotel was amazing, if you got children it is fantastic as there is so much for them to do, our son went to swim kids this cost us about 34 euros for 5 half hour lessons and our little girl went to creche which cost us 64 euros for 6 hour and half sessions which i thought was brill.
pool very cold so the littlest one would not go in there but once you jump in you get used to it, big pool and you can take inflatables in there which was good, life guards were there too.
all inclusive was great you could go to the bar constantly to get burgers chips hot dogs etc.
bar staff were very quick which we found amusing as they were trying to be lighteneing quick we only ever had half a glass of drink, but they were friendly.
entertaintment was fab didnt go out often with a 1 year old as was very difficult but there was always something going on, we had a couple of games of bingo, but hard to find seats in the entertainment.
hotel always clea
we found absoultely nothing wrong with this hotel and would def come back
