Santa ponsa is a lovely resort not larger louty but also not so quiet that your bored.An ideal family holiday wih plenty of entertainment in most bars, the square has entertainment nightly (great atmosphere)with some great entertainers ranging from childrens shows to hypnotists to live groups.There is also a show that all the reps rave a bout and thats the pirates well what can i say EXCELLENT a bit pricy but worth every penny my 4yr old still talks about it now even my tiny baby was fine (well he managed to sleep through it how i dont know because it is very loud but thats children for you) A MUST SEE EVENT

Santa Ponsa is a great resort, plenty shops and pubs and a good variety of places to eat. Lots of Irish bars, but not too many Scots!!!
The only thing I disliked was when we did venture to lie on the beach, you were always subjected to some louts playing loud music which was not to our taste. We like peace and quiet on the beach as I am sure most people do.

The resort is basically clean but there are certain areas which get grubby as the day goes on. The "Irish Quarter" at 03:00 looks like a rubbish dump with the usual collection of wrappers,bottles,half-eaten kebabs ,pizzas et al. Entertainment is excellent. Special mention for The hypnotist Alexander Duvall and Mark "Neil Diamond" Ritchie.
The beach is clean and has various activities. When i was there they had an ATP Tennis Tournament and the Swatch Majorcan Beach Volleyball Tournament.

Santa Ponsa is a brilliant resort for all ages but mostly youny folk who love Irish people, pubs and songs!!
Place is jumping! Definitely going back next summer!!!

Santa Ponza is a very nice place and quite clean, the roads
and pavements are cleaned twice each day swept washed, I have never seen a place where they scrub the pavements day and night. The entertainment of the resort seems to belive music in the bars and there is a lot of them around the area. The hotel is only two or three minutes walk form the beach. The Beach is sandy and clean. I have seen men working on the Beach in the evening and early morning with machines cleaning and raking the sand.

Santa Ponsa has it all. If you want kids entertainment with general adult entertainment to follow then The Square is the place to go. If you just want to drink and dance the night away then the Irish Bars are a must,very friendly people we found,on the opposite side of the resort are some more quieter restaurants for those who want a gentle evening.

We visit this resort twice a year (May/OCt) we find it very clean. The beach is great and safe. There are pedaloes and boat trips from the small jetty. The trips are good value and you can get your tickets from Rubio (with Captains Hat) next to Macdonalds.
The kids love this resort as there is a small Crazy Golf with some amusements. The pubs/rests cater well for the kids.
You are a short taxi/bus ride from Magalluf/Marineland/Palma Nova. Marineland is a great day out and so is the Crazy Golf place in P.N.
Use the taxis to get around the island as they are good value.
There is a market in Andraxtz on a Wednesday which is worth a visit. Also the trips to Soller on the train is also a great day out.
The restaurants in Santa Ponsa are also very good. Recommend Royal Garden and El Jardin near the Square and Jackies on the seafront.

Very clean all round, great pubs and great music, never bored at night, beach was clean and would definately go back again...

We thought that Santa Ponsa was very good. The beach is gorgeous - very clean with plenty of sun beds and brollies. The pedaloes were enjoyed by our teenager. There was also a banana boat.
Take care if approached by the fruit sellers on the beach. Someone near us had a 50 euro note whisked out of her fingers and no change given - better to keep your money out of sight and hold on to your handbag/wallet.
We did not investigate the resort entertainment, hence the low score for that. There were lots of little shops for souvenirs, and the Thomson reps were able to direct us, on the first night to a place where our daughter could have her hair braided.
There are so many lovely places to go on holiday to that we normally try somewhere different each year, so when we go back to Majorca we'll try another resort, but would recommend this resort as worth staying at.
We would definitely go back there at some stage.

the resort itself is very clean. The pavemets are polished so much that me and my mum couldnt wear our high heel shoes as the pavements in places were so shiny!! The bars in santa Ponsa are great the variety is excellent. The Square suits young families, the pubs suit both families with teenagers and groups of lads/girls and the clubs also suit the groups of lads/girls. The beach is fantasic, it's so clean and looked after and its so big its rarely over crowded. we would definately visit this resort again. And me and a friend are going this year..in fact this time next week I'll be there...back for the 6th time!!
