I went there with my best friend and her family and I had the best time!

All the reps were approachable (Sarah,Ollie,Lucy) the reception staff were helpful and the waiters were lovely(especially Juan the youngest one) . The food was great and the entertainment was even better the rooms are small but there's lots around the hotel so there is no need to stay in them for long.

It is a quiet place but has the beach, a super market, shops, swimming pool, bus stop, pay phones and a cafe all within a two minute walking distance.

There are plenty of trips that the hotel has to offer so that you can go around the island.

The hotel has plenty to do for all ages. Even in a storm everyone managed to find something to do around the hotel.

I definately want to go back next year and I would strongly recommend it to you.

The rooms were ok but needed updating. The food was horrid one man found a cockroach in his meal, the whole family came down with a bug. We went for 2 weeks the first week was wonderful. The kids enjoyed the clubs and the reps were very friendly. To top it all off the day before we were due to fly back to Britan the twin towers happened :( We did not enjoy this holiday.

We visited this hotel in July/August 2002 for 11 nights. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and the food is good. All food in the restaurant is well cooked and very hot. The restaurant staff are very helpful. The bar is a little on the expensive side, but again the staff are helpful and polite.

The rooms are very basic, and the walls are very thin. The maids do an excellent job, and they keep the rooms clean. The nylon bedspreads are not pleasant!

The Thomson entertainers are excellent(well, two out of three are - the third one needs to moderate her/his language as my children were not impressed!).

Thomson reps appear to be under some pressure, and seem keen to meet targets rather than look after the interests of the holidaymakers. Beware the rep who goes to unusual lengths to get you to go on the Thomson trip to Mahon as opposed to the local bus.

Local buses are not very regular, so hiring a car is a good option if you need a break from the constant entertainment.

This is the second year that we have been. A few things have changed this year, the dining room has been made larger, so queing times for a table has been reduced, and also they have increased the size of the bar down by the pool. They have now moved all the entertainment inside, not such a good idea on a hot evening, also two large pillars obscuring the view for a lot of seats, overall the entertainment not as good this year compared to last year.

No worries about getting a sun bed though, thomson reps remove all towels that are placed before 8.45am (brilliant idea, means you can stay in bed that little bit longer). So you can enjoy your breakfast and still get a sunbed round the pool. Talking of round the pool still a strong smell coming from the showers, still the same trouble as last year.

Food ok, not a great deal of choice for the fussy yongsters though, children selection could do with being made larger, overall though very enjoyable food, its just a shame the prices of the drinks for the evening meal cost so much.

Rooms. Well what can you say, not the best, paper thin walls, so you can hear everything going on in the next room (be warned). Decoration could do with being modernised very bare and poor interiors. Children having to sleep on very basic bunk beds. Kept very clean by the Maids, in everyday and very good at their jobs.

Overall holiday very good, beach was lovely and on the doorstep. Prices in the resort very expensive, do hire a car and see the rest of the island it is beautifull.

Enjoy your Holiday.

Visited the hotel during the last two weeks of June 2002 and had a very good time. The hotel lies at the eastern end of Santo Tomas with a large pool area and gardens (some shaded for the paler among us) that end only a few yards from the beach.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the food was very good for a hotel of this star rating. Our faddy 3-year-old was not overly keen on some elements of the kids menu: the fish fingers and chicken nuggets were different to those back home so she decided she didn't like them!

Drinks in the hotel were expensive so anyone with a prodigious thirst is well advised to try the bars in the resort. Santo Tomas is a small, VERY quiet resort though so don't expect a huge choice of alternatives. Its charm lies in the fact that it is quiet and clean, including the beach (in contrast to those on the coastal path to Son Bou where used syringes could be found). If you're staying for more than a week, hiring a car is essential, and relatively simple as Europcar have a desk in the hotel reception and there are Avis and Hertz offices in Santo Tomas. We found it was slightly cheaper to book in Britain, however.

The supermarket opposite the hotel carries a good range of stock and many British brands, though you will pay through the nose for them. It is much cheaper than the hotel for drinks and ice cream, however, so hiring a fridge for your room might be worthwhile.

The entertainment and facilities were good with a nightly cabaret of touring acts preceded by a kids disco that our daughter loved. Chrissy, Alex and Alan the ents. reps were friendly and competent though I found one of them less entertaining than the others! (no names, no pack drill)

The kids club is well run and handy though we found our daughter preferred the less structured "drop-in" club to the Tots club proper. The children's play area is well designed and close to the gardens if you want to keep an eye on the brats from the comfort of your sunbed. Getting a sunbed is not really a problem, though arriving late means you get left with the uncomfortable hard-plastic ones. Pool umbrellas - particularly the weighted bases - are in short supply, however.

The hotel is excellent for families with younger children but teenagers may find little to entertain them.

Previous comments about the paper-thin walls are still true and the toilets have the loudest flush mechanism ever invented but we felt that the room was not especially small. Being a hotel aimed squarely at families, we found there was little or no noise after midnight (dustbin men at 6am notwithstanding), especially as our room was on the opposite side to the pool and entertainments area.

At busy times the three lifts struggled to cope, each being roughly coffin-sized - inflate your lilos AFTER you get downstairs!

Talking of inflation, the price in the brochure bears all the hallmarks of being set high to allow the travel agents to offer generous discounts. Through booking early we got 35% off the brochure price and Lunn Poly are currently offering 40% off next summer's bookings.

Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would return in the future, though next time we will avoid the Superfamily bubbly like the poison it is!

Stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks June 2002.

This was our first visit to Menorca so unsure of what to expect.

Spent the vast majority of the holiday within the hotel complex. It was very hot.

Facilities are first class for any family with kids up to the age of 12.

We had a 13 year old who wasn't fully occupied for the duration.

Our 2 9 year olds were always involved in activities run by the Thomson kids reps who did a cracking job.

The staff are helpful at all times.

Thomson entertainers are excellent (Chrissie, Alfonso and Alex) and the entertainment is mixed varied and enjoyable.

Another plus factor is that it is solely for Thomson Holidays which means no fractions with other nationalities (i.e. Germans).

All in all I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone with young kids
