We stayed in the Dania it is a clean and basic hotel.

We were concerned about what the food would be like as we had read some poor reviews.

The food was fine (it seemed better in the Magec, but think thats because we liked that restaurant best).

You can use both hotels which we found made a nice change.

We had a light bulb explode in the bathroom leaving broken glass all over the floor and sink it took 2hours 15 mins for them to come and clean it up and they did not even sweep the floor.

Cleaners where always rushing about to much to keep up a high standard of cleanliness.

There was a very limited choice of food and what was available was poorly set out and cold at times we enjoyed the toast.

The room was overlooking a very busy road so a good nights sleep was very rare.

Entertainment was o/k if you liked a game of bingo or a quiz.

We will not be going back.

We stayed in the Magec for xmas and what a let down the entertainment was. Okay if you like ballroom dancing a quiz or bingo.

The bar in the Magec closes when the barman feels like he has had enough and a warning they moan and groan if anybody orders coffee or tea.

The food was always cold even when went early doors the soup was just warm we wont be going back.

On a late booking in search of some winter warmth, we were very pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Dania.

It is superbly located in the resort center, clean, comfortable and well run.

Typical buffet style meals, but plenty of choice and with a cook to order section which had a fish or meat alternative daily.

From the roof terrace there are great views of Mt Tiede and the resort, and the heated pool was clean and warm.

On the whole the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Entertainment was based across the road in the Magec and not particularly our cup of tea, but lots to do in resort, so no problems there.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We have stayed at the Dania several years for xmas & new year. We have enjoyed our holidays, plenty of choice for food.

Cleanliness of hotel and rooms cannot be faulted. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

When my wife was ill they could not do enough for us. We have enjoyed ourselves so much at this hotel and resort we are going again this year.

I could not resist the cheap rooms on offer in Tenerife and decided to go back to the Dania Park and stayed for 5 Nights. There are 3 hotels on this site. I didn't check out the entertainment as it is aimed at the Spanish and older people that go to this hotel. But people do seem happy to spend time and chat more.

Had a worrying, slow and expensive transfer by Via Express (2 hours Tuesday - am waiting a reply from them before I post). I took the bus back (bus station next door done in 80 mins Sunday)

The food choice is limited however I actually found two of the evening meals quite good. For the price I paid for the holiday I would have been quite happy to have eaten out, however I didn't find the need as the food was OK, well presented. They seem to be getting better at Fresh bread too. If you are a fussy eater you may be disappointed.

Hotel was clean, no problems with getting a sunbed and a tan by the Hotel Pool. Still the usual clouds at times but still hot when the sun came out. Free fridge and air con.

I did think about going to the south, quicker transfer and more livier and young atmosphere, but as I get older it is nice to just relax, chill. It offered value for money by booking with Med Hotels and it was better than staying at home. Each to their own but I hope this stays as it is and there is always a choice and this place retains its character.

Found the layout of the hotel quite confusing at first as it is actually 3 seperate hotel blocks the Dania is actually across the road from the 2 blocks that form the Magec. We stayed in the rear block of the Magec (pronounced Ma-heck)furthest away from the road. Nice hotel we found it clean, comfortable and quiet, with aircon,TV and free fridge in the room. With 4 pools to choose from we could always get a sunbed (but please bear in mind this was Febuary). Cant comment on the entertainment as we like to get out and about on a night. The only real complaint would be the food I will be the first to admit my girlfriend is a fussy eater but in particular we found the breakfasts not worth getting out of bed for the evening meals were better with a wider choice but still a little disapointing. Luckily the resort has selection of good and cheap places to eat. Would we go back ? In all honesty yes we would.
To sum up a nice clean and comfortable hotel well located with a good selection of pools, bars and other services ie sauna, table tennis, crazy golf etc.

Took advantage of some cheap flights on new daily service by Mytravellite, flights about 10 mins late otherwise OK.

Booked hotel through Medhotels as they gave excellent prices, and I could only get away for a few days.

Used the buses to get to hotel and as the bus station is next to the hotel no problem!

Food was better than I was expecting from previous posts, however this is a budget hotel so you do get what you pay for. I didnt go out for a meal as I had expected since it was simple to find something I enjoyed (but I am not a fussy eater).

Hot and Sunny, hotel roof pool excellent, spare sunbeds all day - even got a good tan.!

got better as Happy hour 6-8pm! and a free fridge in the room to keep a beer or two in before going out. Drinks in the hotel not too expensive, lot cheaper compared to other 4* hotels.

Harlequins(older crowd) and Bucanners(younger crowd) good bars only 10 mins walk away (but rivals next to each other - try them both!). Plenty of other bars to explore - ask the reps!

Cant fault rooms, cleaned daily, air con and TV in with a balcony (prefer upper floors to get away from traffic).

Didnt find LLoyd (first choice rep) helpful, seems nice but didnt make you feel welcome, airtours and thomson reps much better if you decide to book with a tour operator (they can still offer good deals).

Would go again, and will.
